Star sports released the ICC World Cup 2019 advertisement, now have a look at the plot.So there is a ceremony going in England. It’s being organised in a very big palace which attracted a lot of elite people.A huge crowd of people can be seen to be collected around these two people, they basically represents Britain’s hierarchy. They both are very well-dressed and looks they belong to the royal family of London.This gentleman with a glass of champagne in his hand says, “world cup is coming home”.Now, the camera goes to a man which looks like an Indian who is working here as a waiter.Now he walks to that gentleman standing in the middle says, “oye Holmes! pakad isko” (Hey Holmes! hold it).Then he starts dancing in front of around thousand people by saying “tu khawab dekhte rah ja, hum le jayenge….. I crown cricket ka hum le jayenge”A cook who was previously working in the kitchen bursts into the hall, he looks damn astonished.He undresses himself and wait what he is a South African fan….wow what a beauty!!Now a black security personnel sensed something fishy in the hall and he enters into the “crime scene’ and he secretly goes to that South African supporter and binds his hands.And ultimately he too undresses himself, wait what he is a West Indian cricket fan.Now, Pakistani, Afgani and Bangladeshi cricket supporters who were quietly watching there drama, undresses themselves and showcases that they are capable of this “cricket ka crown”.Wow, what a beautiful advertisement but I think you must have been thinking where is the cleverness. So here is the catch, you may know that Britain ruled the whole world and wherever they ruled, they have left poverty, under-development, divisions based on castes, creed and races and moreover cricket as their legacy. They totally do think this game as legacy of British regime. Now as this time world cup is being organised in England, they want to show us that how you people, let it be Indians, Australians, West Indians, Pakistanis, Afganis, Bangladeshis had been a servant of them in the past and they showed these people as the people working under them i.e. one is a waiter, one is a cook, one is a security personnel etc. Now after this how all these helpers from different countries ultimately come up to show that now they are free, they have a team to cheer for. Can you look at the cleverness of the person who scripted this advertisement, he/she clearly showed the enthusiasm of being a part of the world cup with a sense that England being the all in all, you all have emerged from them, you have served them, you have been traumatized by them.That selfish way of portraying them with a mix of zealful song was a clever way of picturising the slavery with a sport known for Englishmen.This is my point of view of taking this advertisement. Probably not.Reason: With official licencing and all, it's just to costly to make a cricket game. And the end product has to be priced high to recover the costs and make a profit. (i.e. The recent Don Bradman Cricket was priced at Rs 4000 for PS3. Even though it was from an independent studio and had lesser marketing expenses, it had to be priced high)And the biggest market for cricket is India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. And we don't BUY games. We pirate them. So, year after year all these cricket games turn into losses. And the big companies cannot depend on the English and Australian market entirely to recover their costs.Endline: It's not profitable enough to make cricket games.

Yes, it is very much possible! You don't have to wait till 2022, because EA Sports releases FIFA every year! So yes, EA Sports FIFA 2018 world cup is very much in sight!
