Ms Word 97 2011 Online: Fill & Download for Free

(Wow, I didn’t realize this list would be so long! Maybe I should look for an outdated software anonymous support group…)I have Version 1 (1992) of the Oxford English Dictionary application. Made for Windows 3.1, I have to run it in a Windows XP virtual machine. It was the only version without copy protection, so I can copy it to the hard drive and not have to keep the CD in the CD drive.Though I usually use Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary to look up words, when a word I want to look up isn’t in their free online version, I start up their Third New International Unabridged application, version 2.5, from the year 2000. This had all the updates from 1961 - 2000, so it’s sort of a Third-And-A-Half New International Unabridged (they’re still working on the Fourth, but they may never print it).I still sell software I wrote with (1998) VB6. A rewrite would be several hundred hours of work and I don’t know if I will ever have time.That VB6 software is Excel add-ins. I maintain backward compatibility in them back through Excel 97, so whenever I make changes I fire it up to make sure it still works in that old version of Excel.I still edit my website with FrontPage 2003, the last version.I still do photo editing in (2011) Picture Window Pro 5.0.I still do Kindle book covers in (2011) Serif DrawPlus X5.I still do page layout with (2015) Serif PagePlus X9, the last version.I’m still running (2009) Windows 7 on my main computer. I’ve got Windows 10 on another computer, which had 8.1 and 8.0 before that, and the rest of the family, for whom I am their primary tech support, all runs Windows 10, so I’m familiar with it. I’ll upgrade before support runs out but I’m not excited about it.And finally, I do my word processing in WordPerfect for MS-DOS. Just kidding!

What is the purpose of Microsoft apps like Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Word (in a simple and brief manner)?The question has the sounds of a classwork assignment, i.e., someone’s homework.Do you know what each app does in general?
