Hello Anonymous.Thank you for asking this question.As a final year student student in NIT Silchar, having scored between 6-8 pointers in last 7 semesters here, I believe I'm in a suitable position to answer that question.CSE is by far the best branch as far as job prospects are concerned. The market doesn't slow down, the packages are creating records as we speak and there's no dearth of opportunities for people who can code well.But, CSE from NIT Silchar might be bit of a question because we're under-exposed here.In your case the solution lies in-1. First is realizing that you're the only person who'll have to make your skills and qualification exposed to the world outside. The branch you have, makes it the easiest job in the world.2. Second is to achieve all these skills through online resources. There're a ton of resources to learn to code in different languages. Just a google search will give you hundreds of results.Personally, I recommend Learn to code (Codeacademy)3. Third is to build your online coding portfolio; think of coding as designing or photography. You can't just say you know photography on a paper called CV and get the best job deals or internships.You'll have to create an online repository to showcase your work. Create an account on Build software better, together (Github) and put out everything that you do in coding out there. Let people see your learning curve and the mistakes that you're making.Bottom-Line: Learn things on your own, don't wait for the classroom to teach you or guide you. Build projects that interest you; Computer Science has the widest application in the world today.
