A2A!!I have been recently receiving many requests in this regard. It's a bit long so just relax and read it till last.So if you are preparing for NEET, you do need to analyse your preparations and for this purpose you should join test series of any major coaching institute(may be Allen/Aakash).Pros of Allen over AakashThe Allen papers more realistic and are in sync with the actual neet exam.Biology is mostly from the NCERT.(~95%)Pros of Aakash over AllenNumber of students appearing for AIATS is comparatively large so you get a better estimate of your rankPrepares you up to face a tougher situation.Coming over to our discussion over AIATS:1.DiffficultyTalking about the real situation, yes I do agree that AIATS papers are difficult as compared to the actual level of NEET. But here you need to realise that if it is difficult for you then it will be difficult for others also. So how does it affect your performance, well I may sound a bit optimistic here but think it only enhances your ability to deal with with the situation under high pressure and your skills to skip the hard questions and judge your time management skills(even in actual exam, rank 1 also leaves some questions).2.Marks in AIATS vs NEETIf you are talking about the marks then its never sure measure . For example, you can take the fact that last year AIQ cutoff was 467 marks and this year it is 558. So in the game of ranks, your performance will always be judged in a relative term. You can't take marks as a sure estimate.On an average if you are getting a rank below 1000, you will get a seat in government college. If you are under 500 and you are there in one of the best college of your state.(it might not be 100% accurate)3.Biology sectionEarlier it used to be that a number of unrealistic and difficult questions occupied a major chunk of AIATS bio section. But recently from past 2 years, most of the questions (75–80/90)are based on ncert only though in a twisted manner.So concluding my answer here, yes AIATS papers do help you in NEET exam. It depends entirely on how much you can earn and how much of that you can donate.As a strawman, one of my colleagues at Google used to work for a nonprofit. He now donates about 50% of his pretax income per year to that nonprofit. I'm going to guess he earns $150k/year.I bet if you told his old boss that s/he has to decide between having $75k/year in donations plus a committed, well-respected advocate at Google whose peers are all upper-middle-class or better, or having him come back, s/he would tell him to stay put.So: for sufficiently good jobs and sufficiently generous donations, you're best off letting someone else do the nonprofit work and playing banker to them.(as a side note, I have no idea where Allen's numbers come from - it's easy to find charities where 10% or less of funds raised go to overhead, and anyone who's worked at a nonprofit will tell you that much of the effort expended is on things like fundraising, recordkeeping, etc)

Ever gotten the “Anne from Card Services” calls?Yep, those. They tell you that they can lower your interest rate, if you just (yep, you guessed it) give them your credit card number.At first I hung up on them, but one day I had time and I figured I’d see what their game is. So I faked sounding a little “slow”, and they apparently thought they’d found an easy mark. They were even quite patient when I pretended not to quite understand their instructions properly.Eventually, I gave them a fake (but plausible sounding) Visa number. The next thing they ask for is the telephone number for the bank on the back of the card, to “verify” the number. I was more than happy to give them the telephone number, 1–800-225-5324. Otherwise known as 1–800-CALL-FBI, their tip line for frauds and scams.So, they put me on hold to do their “verification”. I actually got the satisfaction of hearing a “What the—?” before the line quickly dropped.Didn’t get too many of those calls after that, for some odd reason.
