In 1970, Italy was among the first countries in Europe to recognize PRC as the legitimate government of China. Italy also helped build Beijing Emergency Center, and donated 42 ambulances along with it.Today, when The breakout of coronavirus collapsed Italian hospitals, Sichuan Province sent its best, an expert team of nine and 31 tons of medical supplies with medical masks, test kits, protective gowns, antibodies collected from recovered patients, ventilators, etc.As the situation worsens, China is sending another 300 doctors and nurses to Italy.Edit:Thank you all for the heartwarming comments, many of which have expressed better than I ever will. Government is not a shopkeeper where you get products in proportion to what you pay.Government is a ladder; an equaliser — to allow people from poorer backgrounds to catch up. This is why poorer people get more subsidies than richer people. That is the primary purpose of the government. When you are unfortunate — you need a helping hand.Last year for my company I paid about 3.5 million INR in taxes. I cannot expect an equal service in return. What the government would do is to use the taxes to bring up people who are less fortunate than me. The idea of being in a large country like India is to stop thinking in narrow terms and start thinking broad.

Communism is very liberal, as long as it doesn’t have power, or finds itself at a clear disadvantage.Check out, for example, the history of Popular Fronts in the Western Europe when Communists entered into a broad coalition with many other left-of-center political forces. Communism considers many minorities to be victims of Capitalism, and offers a helping hand in their fight, bringing it along as a part of their own class struggle.This changes drastically, however, once Communists are in power. The reason is the mirroring of the previous situation: once the oppressor classes lose power, the counter-revolutionaries turn to minorities as their allies in the fight against the victorious proletariat. It’s easy for them to do that, since the Marxist theory consider everything that isn’t compliant with the Communist strategy, to be either a straight bourgeois ideology, or petty-bourgeois deviation from the correct Marxist optics.Therefore, any identity politics among minorities that is not illuminated by the Communist consciousness, represents a glaring hole where enemies of people can stab the revolutionary class in their back. The task of true Communists is to weed out the destructive elements among these minorities. They also need to explain to the rest how much more powerful they become by joining the ranks of Communist comrades.
