Honestly, I can think of two answers - 1. Loans 2. Scholarships.Many banks will offer you loans, especially for medical students. Loans may be granted on different grounds. I would always suggest applying for loans that are designed for students, as those loans tend to have a lower interest rate. Secondly, there are also Government Tertiary Education loan programs with little or no interest. (I am not sure if all countries have this). Your next option would be Scholarships and bursaries. I've just been awarded a Bursary and while it doesn't near cover my expenses it will definitely help. Almost ALL universities have Bursaries which are usually awarded based on Financial need or Academic Performance. You can apply for these and they are usually free and most application forms can be done online. Next would be Scholarships - there are so many resources available to students, and yet we don't tap into it. Like Bursaries, scholarships can be awarded based on financial need or Academic performance. If you have just started medical school, then you should work hard to excel on your exams and this will help you in getting a Scholarship.
