Why do my parents think that video games are bad and contain viruses?

It might sound silly but your parents are probably from an older generation of internet users. Back in the wild west of the internet there was less regulated ways to get software. Bear in mind for example Steam only came around after 2003 and didn’t really become popular until many years later. At this point in time (and in the decades prior) the main way to get legitimate software was through physical media such as floppy disks and CDs. The average internet connection during this time wouldn’t have been sufficient to consistently download games, not to mention the lack of online distributors. If you did decide to save a few quid and search up for movies or games online chances are you’d come across a shady website with shady files and end up downloading a virus.Fast forward to today and the internet is a completely different landscape, online distribution and streaming has become more mature and average internet is jumping in many areas from 64kbps to 64mbps. Today its easier than ever to get games on your PC.This is probably the reason why your parents think games contain virus’. As for how to convince them otherwise, this is a tough topic. The best way generally is to simply educate and explain they way games work and prove the legitimacy of the online distributors. They probably have had bad experiences of people breaking their computers by downloading stuff.

How many competent officers are there in the U.S. military as opposed to their incompetent counterparts?

The method of their review weeds out the technically incompetent soon enough. They resign as they realize the poor performance scores cancel their opportunity to advance. it is nearly unbeatable.- - like this:NEWS! ~ Army officially splits with West Point ‘commie cadet’By Associated Press, June 19, 2018 | 12:38am | Updated(MORE ON: WEST POINT ~ West Point cadet tried to crowdfund money to bring porn star to banquetOfficials looking into 'white power' hand signs at Army-Navy football gameWest Point sergeant busted for distributing child porn'Grit' more important to success than brains and brawn, West Point study finds)“”””” WATERTOWN, N.Y. — The images Spenser Rapone posted on Twitter from his West Point graduation were intentionally shocking:In one, the smirking cadet opens his dress uniform to expose a T-shirt with a blood-red image of socialist icon Che Guevara. In another, he raises his fist and flips over his cap to reveal the hand-scrawled message: “Communism will win.”Less than a year after Rapone’s images drew a firestorm of vitriol and even death threats, the second lieutenant who became known as the “commie cadet” is officially out of the US Army with an other-than-honorable discharge.Top brass at Fort Drum’s 10th Mountain Division accepted Rapone’s resignation Monday after an earlier reprimand for “conduct unbecoming of an officer.”Rapone said an investigation found he went online to advocate for a socialist revolution and disparage high-ranking officers and US officials.Officially, the Army said in a statement only that it conducted a full investigation and “appropriate action was taken.”An unrepentant Rapone summed up the fallout in yet another tweet Monday that showed him extending a middle finger at a sign at the entrance to Fort Drum, accompanied by the words,“One final salute.”Rapone said his journey to communism grew out of his experiences as an Army Ranger in Afghanistan before he was accepted into the US Military Academy. And those views only hardened during his studies of history as one of the academy’s “Long Gray Line.”He explained that he took the offending selfies at his May 2016 West Point graduation ceremony and kept them to himself until last September, when he tweeted them in solidarity with NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who was taking heat for kneeling for the national anthem to raise awareness of racism. Many other military personnel also tweeted in favor of Kaepernick, although most were supporting free speech, not communism.West Point released a statement after Rapone posted the photos, saying his actions “in no way reflect the values of the US Military Academy or the US Army.”And US Sen. Marco Rubio, a Florida Republican, called on the secretary of the Army to remove Rapone from the officer ranks.“While in uniform, Spenser Rapone advocated for communism and political violence, and expressed support and sympathy for enemies of the United States,” Rubio said Monday, adding, “I’m glad to see that they have given him an ‘other-than-honorable’ discharge””””, Army officially splits with West Point ‘commie cadet’ .

How do you see the future of anime?

I’ll run through a list of things I see in the future of anime:#1 Anime dubs are going to get worseIf you follow anything I talk about online, you might be surprised by this answer. After all, I myself watch dubs and advocate for it more than most people do.But the FUTURE of anime dubs, as far as its come, will only get worse. To the point where I’m probably gonna watch MORE subs than dubs going forward. Why?One word: CENSORSHIPThis isn’t news. Anime IN THE WEST has been censored before. Funimation is known for censoring DBZ to some extent (translations, etc). Even the UN is obsessed with censoring anime (in the west of course).Back in 2017 Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid was also censored and the translated message was “spun” into something political and SJW-Like.Dub writers using characters as ideological mouthpieces: Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, ep 12 (spoilers)We all know how SJW’S, “fake” feminists and the alphabet mob in the west behaves whenever they feel “offended” in the world of entertainment.A lot of this is infecting certain companies in the west. And while the quality of dubs won’t necessarily degrade, the ethics of voice actors and translations WILL degrade in quality.-#2 Western companies will attempt to “own” anime and FAILLet’s take a company like Funimation as an example. The other day it was announced they’re merging with Aniplex. This means Funimation will be more powerful with 49 countries worldwide under their belt of distribution.I suspect (which is typical of greedy western companies) they’ll try creating their own anime… to the point where their anime are “so good” they can say “fuck you” to Japan and claim anime for their own.Or in other words - steal it and re-brand it without giving Japan any credit.Crunchyroll the other year attempted to “make” their own anime called High Guardian Spice. Fans call it a rip off version of Madoka Magica and Little Witch Academia.Apparently it had a “feminist, SJW” agenda baked into the anime. And was more about promoting BS than it was about creating an authentic anime product.Crunchyroll dropped it that’s why some people haven’t heard of it, but I’m digressing. The point I’m making is: The US is starting to see how important anime is in the entertainment business.Netflix and other companies included.Culture vultures will come running to the industry to make money off it without giving a F about the art itself.-#3 The anime industry’s bubble will “POP”Anime is problematic. It’s been around for SO LONG at this point, and yet even though it rakes in $19billion+ a year, the artists and employees are essentially slaves.Studios still struggle to pay their workers fairly. Either that or they’re wilfully ignorant (with the exception of studios like Kyoani).Japan is conservative when it comes to business, which is the exact problem. The anime industry NEEDS change, and innovation is necessary. How long can this continue to happen before the industry implodes on itself?I think at some point in the future if things continue the way it is, we’re gonna see something similar to the dot com crash or the recession in 2008–2009.That’s assuming Japan continues to twiddle their thumbs and cross their fingers as if the problem will somehow fix itself. That’s not the only things I expect in the future of anime. Augmented Reality, VR, Holographic technology and other things are coming as well (I believe).6 Things The Anime Industry Needs Within The Next DecadeBut these 3 things are relevant to what’s happening right now.And as for companies in the west like Netflix attempting to make “original” anime, personally I’m starting to believe that’s NOT the right approach. They’ll fail anyway.Anime originates in Japan, and no one can make anime like the Japanese.Money should be put back into funding Japanese companies, studios and artists to preserve the culture. Rather than streaming services “lining their own pockets” and barely giving back to the industry (that’s what it feels like to me).And I’m not sure many of these companies in positions of power can be trusted with “doing the right thing” for the anime industry.Especially in the hyper sensitive P.C culture we live in today outside of Japan.-Cheers Shahzaib Hassan & Yann Goasguen

We purchased the Dr Fone software to proxy our location services. Testing an application based in the US whilst in Australia. Works really well on the iPad. The application does sometimes crash, but it provides us with such benefits when testing that this is a minor inconvenience. I was impressed with the support we received (thanks Zoe) when I wanted to change our account details to another email address.
