The picture below on the left was taken in 1979 when I was 22 years old. The picture on the right side was taken in 2017 when I was 60.I do work out 5 or 6 times a week: cardio, push-ups, pull-ups, Cybex machines, anchor ropes, etc. I also do a lot of road and mountain biking, depending on the time of year and the weather (I tend to be a fair weather cyclist). I also play racquetball whenever I can as well.Overall, my health is great. I don’t follow a strict diet, but I don’t drink sugary stuff and rarely drink alcohol. I try to get at least 6 hours of sleep a night.I should also mention that I had a hip replacement in 2015, when I was 58. Here’s a few pictures from that time period.I can honestly say that for the most part I can’t even tell I had my hip replaced, except that it doesn’t hurt all the time like it used to. I do lots of stretching and I can almost do full hurdler splits now. I may wear it out some day, but until then I’m going to keep having fun and training like a division I college athlete.

I ended up having a severe infection in my stomach because of the little gig I played around losing weight, and it cost massive medical bills. I started enjoying food, life, glowing and was confident.(2016) Weight: 79 KgI don't have pictures of my breaking up time, but I turned into stress eater and ended up gaining 27 kgs because I turned into a couch potato, ate greasy food and refuse to work out.(2017 ) Weight: 90 KgRight now? It is April 2018; I'm at 89 Kgs (Still an obese) but mentally and physically at a better place. Why? Because I realized Confidence is the key, not societal standards, I realized the body is a temple, and it needs love and attention too.What's next? Reach 75 Kgs without leaving food behind.

I screwed the answer sheet, did some mistakes and I got a very bad rank.I was getting NIT Warangal and NIT allahabad too. Still I wanted to drop a year for IIT.I gave a test for FIITJEE. I got the scholarship and I went to delhi to take admission in it.My parents didn't want me to drop a year but the rest of the family, relatives, etc. wanted IIT only.Few days before the deadline of JEE Mains counseling, I came back from Delhi andI decided to take admission in NIT.My “I will do what I want” momentWhy did I do this?I had doubts in my mind and I couldn't risk my health for a mere conversion of “N” from NIT into an “I” of IIT.
