I do like short tight skirts, I think I have legs to pull it off but my overall body shape is not flattered by them, also at 62 I may attract a bit too much attention…Legs … obvs …Short skirt .. did have some shorter but long gone …Knee or below knee lengths suit me best …Edit… Never say never…New dress off eBay.. it was a bit shorter than I imagined… I like it though ;-)As part of a reply to another question I had a picture taken in a very short, tight skirt … I love it, great to wear but at 62 I don’t think I could get away with it ; -)

Short version - they did, it just didn’t appear in the movie.The film - constrained by length - understates and skips over some issues, such as how hard the rescue convoy had to fight to get in and out, and particularly (for this question) how many helicopters were destroyed and damaged and how hard some of the fighting was.Of the Black Hawks, Super 61 was shot down and Super 68 badly damaged while delivering a CSAR team to its crash site.Then, Mike Durant’s Super 64 was hit and forced down: Super 62 and two Little Birds remained overhead to provide cover, taking increasing volumes of fire as they did so, until Gordon and Shugart requested to be inserted on the ground to provide security for the crash site (as the Little Birds were running out of ammo and the crew of Super 62 were taking damage and casualties from intense ground fire).Not long after they were put in, Super 62 was hit and seriously damaged by an RPG while continuing to engage gunmen on the ground, and had to RTB immediately to avoid creating yet another crash site, leaving the ground team unsupported (the Little Birds, out of ammo, had resorted to having their co-pilots firing small-arms out of the cockpit until ordered back for their own survival).So, basically, the supporting helicopters fought until they were out of ammo or too badly damaged to continue, and it was only then that Super 64’s crash site was overrun.
