Chapter 12 Directed Reading: Fill & Download for Free

NCERT publishes some excellent books which are easy to understand, concise and helps build a strong basic foundation. Once you analyse previous years UPSC papers, you will realise that many questions show up directly from the NCERT books.However, given the level of examination I will strongly advise studying some additional books for the exam.So for prelims I suggest the following:History: I did the old NCERT books. Three books for three sub parts; ancient, medieval and modern history. Additionally, I also did spectrum for mordern india and shrirams Ias history notes.Geography: ncert from 9–12 and Goh Cheng Leong. For Indian geography Shriram's class notes are good.Economic: Class 12th macroeconomics ncert + shriram's IAS notes. ( whenever free do see mrunal videos)Environment: Shankar IAS. However, do read the last 4 chapters of Biology class XII NCERT as well.Culture: class 12th introduction to fine arts NCERT is excellent + I made self notes from Baliyan, Nitin Singhania and ccrt.Polity: Only lakshmikant.S and T: Only PT 365 vision IAS ( didn't have time to do anything else).Please keep your material consise and revise what you have done again and again!
