Are Air Force pilots trained to land on aircraft carriers?

No, they are not. This is a source of jokes between the USAF and Navy. My dad was a career Air Force officer- he was an EWO then later got his medical doctorate. This is relevant because whenever we flew commercial, if the landing was hard- he’d assume the pilot had been in the Navy or Marines.This isn’t because he was trying to insult the Navy and Marines but because both of those branches are trained to land on carriers. In order to land on a carrier, a pilot has to set the plane down in a small portion of the deck and catch a wire. If they fail to do that, they then have to get a plane up to speed before they fall into the ocean.Navy pilots land with their throttle on full military power, which is as far forward as you can go without lighting the afterburners. Navy pilots don’t flare so carrier landings are rough on planes.Air force pilots, on the other hand, are trained to land on runways that are at least a couple miles long (a mile is about 1.6 KM) and if an air force plane runs off the runway, it can be used again. So as a result, Air force pilots will have slower landings. There is a chance they might use an arrestor wire if their brakes fail but it is unusual.So the view they have of each other: Navy trained pilots can touch down on a very specific spot on a runway but it will be a hard landing while the USAF trained pilots will have a smooth landing someplace on the runway.The area between the runway and catapults is called the pre-fly zone and is often filled with planes being readied for take off

Yes, not in Pakistan occupied Kashmir but proper Pakistan. It crossed PoK and entered 70 - 100 km deep into Pakistan. And that too just 70 km from Pakistan Army headquarters.Above all the airforce team returned unharmed.Pakistan was expecting at most a strike in PoK. But IAF entered Pakistan by crossing its legal boundary, defied it's radars and struck it. Balakot is 70 - 100 km inside Pakistan.[Edit] Pakistani F16s tried to retaliate but ran away seeing the size of Indian Mirage formation entering with the full arsenal.[1]As per estimates 200–300 terrorists got killed.[Edit] Masood Azhar's brother in law was eliminated along with several Jaish-e- Mohammad cadres. IAF struck three terror camps divided into 6 targets.
