I was also to list the other parent on all school and daycare forms as an alternate contact. I lived for years writing his contact info (until he changed his address and phone and refused to give me the new ones) and then telling the administrators they were to contact ONLY me and if he showed up to take the kids they were to contact me and create some delay so I could get there to deal with the situation. Fortunately, it never came to that.
