My husband & I are both male.My husband was born & raised in Haryana, India to parents born & raised in Haryana, India & I was born & raised in New South Wales, Australia to parents born & raised in New South Wales, AUS.On 1 August 2018 my husband & I were legally married in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia, under the Australian Marriage Act 1961's Marriage Amendment Act 2017.As my husband did not have a surname on his Passport he was unable to use our New South Wales, Australian Marriage Certificate to change his name to include my surname, so we ordered a New South Wales Change of Name Certificate to add a surname where there had never been one.As we had gone through the hassle & cost of ordering a Change of Name Certificate on top of the costs of our recent wedding & Marriage Certificate I decided it would be a great idea to add my husband's father & brother's surname “Sharma" added as a middle name for my husband on the Change of Name Certificate which was not possible using our Marriage Certificate.After having my husbands current name updated on his Australian Drivers License & Bank Account I contacted the business responsible for issuing Indian Passports & Visas in Sydney, New South Wales, inquiring if we could update my husband's name & spouse details on his Indian Passport with our Australian Relationship Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Change of Name Certificate, Statutory Declaration & Drivers Licence. I was informed that it could only be updated if 2 newspaper Change of Name advertisements were applied for & attached with an application form detailing the change of name & spouse details.I emailed our Relationship Certificate, Marriage Certificate, my Australian Passport & his Indian Passport inquiring if my details could be added on my husband's Indian Passport as his spouse & I was emailed this in response:“Dear Jethro,Thank you for contacting VFS India Passport & Visa Services Center in Australia.As per your query, please be advised that the applicant can change his name as well as add your name as spouse in the same application form. We would request you to kindly provide the supporting documents as per the checklist.Kindly click on the link below for documents required:http://www.vfsglobal.com/india/australia/passport_service/pdf/Passport-Checklist.pdf.”I emailed the Indian Consulate in Sydney & asked them & received this email in response:“Dear Jethro Sutherland-Stephenson,As per Indian government passport policy, same sex spouse name cannot be included/endorsed in passport.”So, for now, it seems that it is not possible & will not be possible until the law changes in India to allow & recognise same-sex marriage.Thank you for taking the time to read this,Jethro Sutherland-Stephenson

If you mean out of a wreck,then in my location which is New South Wales in Australia, once a car is declared a statutory write off the car cannot be registered ever again,they used to have repairable write offs in New South Wales but now they can't legally be re registered anymore !

For me it's the 1978 Sydney Hilton Hotel bombing.At the time of the bombing the hotel was hosting a meeting of heads of governments of all the Commonwealth nations. The attack was supposedly carried out by members of an extremist Hindu terrorist group, however the New South Wales Police found evidence that ASIO (the Australian internal security agency) may have been involved. The NSW Parliament has requested on 2 occasions, in 1991 and 1995, that the Federal Parliament conduct an inquiry into ASIO's involvement, however the Federal Government refused on both occasions. Here’s a list of unusual aspects of the bombing, taken from the Wikipedia page:There was a continuous police presence outside the building since the previous morning. This would have prevented anyone placing a large bomb into the rubbish bin while the police were there.[8]The driver of the garbage truck, Bill Ebb, stated that the bins would normally be emptied several times each day, but police had prevented three earlier trucks from emptying the bin that contained the bomb even though it was overflowing with rubbish.[9]The garbage bin had not been searched for bombs. Searching bins is normally a high priority, and is specified in New South Wales police permanent circular 135.[2]Army dog handler Keith Burley said that his dogs could smell very small quantities of explosives, and were expected to be used for the event. He said they were unexpectedly called off a few days prior without explanation.[2][10]The entire truck and all bomb fragments were dumped immediately afterwards at an unrecorded location. This prevented forensic evidence, such as the type of explosive used, from being gathered.[2] (This was compared to the detailed evidence retrieved from the Pan Am Flight 103 that exploded at 30,000 feet.[2])William Reeve-Parker provided a statutory declaration that an army officer had admitted planting the bomb by switching rubbish bins 24 hours earlier.[8] Reeve-Parker denied knowledge of who the officer was, although he "had helped his son".[8] Reeve-Parker was never called as a witness at the coronial inquest.The officer-in-charge of police immediately after the bombing, Inspector Ian MacDonald, claimed there had been a "cover-up".[2]Former Attorney General of New South Wales Frank Walker and Federal Government Senator Gareth Evans had been told by a CSIRO scientist that under pressure from ASIO they had made two fake bombs in the week prior to the bombing. The bombs were designed not to explode but could do so in a garbage truck compactor.[3]The principal private secretary of a federal senator was told that the bomb squad was waiting nearby at this early hour of the morning.[8] That would suggest that they knew about the bomb. The government would not permit people from the bomb squad to be called as witnesses to the inquest.[9]Sgt Horton stated that he saw an occurrence pad entry that showed the warning call was received at 12:32, 8 minutes before the bomb exploded.[9] It was not relayed instantly to the police out front. At the inquest four other versions of this pad were shown, each timing the call at 12:40.[8]Conveniently for ASIO, following the first ever terrorist attack on Australian soil, the security agency had its funding and powers increased year after year, and continues to do so to this day.
