Here in Finland we have the right for three paid days off when the child falls ill. “Who am I?”I came back to my desk, but his eyes were still in my memory and I felt that he has somehow touched me.I find books very boring and spiritual books make me sleep quickly, hence I had no intention to read that book.But that title “Who am I?” struck some chord in my heart.I sat in front of my desktop computer, I saw my own reflection in the black monitor (which was still off).A strong thought overpowered me:“Who am I really?”I was stunned by this time.Somehow my hand moved and turned on the computer.Immediately a notification alert disturbed my intoxicated state and I unlocked my mobile to see what it is.Quora digest for youFirst question was :“How do I find my true self?” written by Aham JogiI was completely shocked at the timing of this notification, because exactly that was on my mind.I immediately started reading that answer.It felt like Ramana Maharshi was speaking to me.That day I read as many Quora answers as I could from the same writer.Aham Jogi is a Quora writer who met one of the realised beings of Paroksh yogi community while he went for a trekking expedition.I felt an instant connection with his deep answers and I listened to all their guided meditations also.Then, my heart said I should meet him anyhow and I applied for their Himalayan camp by sending answers of their questionnaire.I did not know if I will be selected or not, because they only allow sincere seekers.For next two days no reply came and I was busy with my daily struggle between home and office.That day I was not happy because I was getting a feeling that my wife does not respect me and always compare me with other people.While going to sleep I used ear plugs to hear one of the guided meditations, because I didn't want to talk to her.I fell asleep quickly because of the calming effect of that voice, but after few minutes I heard a loud voice:“I am complete”“I do not lack anything”“I do not need anything”These strong statements completely shook me and I got up quickly.I sat up on bed, listened to rest of the meditation and then removed my ear plugs.I saw my wife was sleeping beside me.I felt that I do not need her respect or any one's respect, because I am here to be a 'giver' and I do not need anything from anyone.I found that she was feeling cold because her blanket had slipped down.So, I put blanket on her properly, saw her innocent face and said sorry (in my mind) for expecting too much from her.This felt like a big problem in my life was sorted, I felt peace within me and I promised to my self that I will focus on what I can give to people around me without expecting anything in return (not even respect).I came back to my side of bed and immediately a notification came in my mobile:Email from the Himalayan camp:“You are selected for the next camp”Voila!Were they waiting for me to sort out my personal issues first?Was it a mere coincidence or a sign from the divine?I was yet to know the reality.Next day, I approached my boss for the leaves, completely knowing that he would reject it.So he did, stating someone else was on leaves on the same dates.I was ready for the unplanned unpaid leaves also.I came back in my desk and I was calculating the monetary loss in case of unpaid leaves.Somehow I felt that nothing can stop me from going to Himalayas.Within few seconds, my boss came and told me that he has spoken to the other person and he is ready to change his dates for you, hence you can get the approved leaves on desired dates.This was completely unexpected -- my boss did a big favour for me and I felt an emotion of respect for him.Everything was somehow falling into place.On the day of departure, I missed my last bus which goes to Pithoragarh and there was no other bus available.Within few minutes, someone approached me and said “I have only one seat left for Pithoragarh in my car. ”I smiled and said, “It was meant to happen!”There were many such incidents, which somehow made me believe that some divine power is removing all obstacles from my path.I had made a list of 12 questions which I wanted to ask from the meditation teacher, but surprisingly he covered everything without me asking a single question.Then he smiled and asked me:“I hope all your questions are answered”I was surprised because I didn't tell him that I had any questions and there were many other people also.I asked him, “how did you know I had written questions for you?”He said, “I do not know anything, but somehow an intuition made me ask this question specifically from you”He said:“There is no miracle in all this and this is not a coincidence either. Supreme consciousness is same for each being and it makes me and you do many things. But mind thinks that he is the doer and it is in control. But everything is a dream of consciousness.You would have faced many obstacles while coming here, but same consciousness helped you in coming here in this remote Himalayan village, same consciousness guided me to ask this question to you”There was a very strong field of silent void near him, because he was in a state of non doership and many other people also felt that he is in complete sync with pure consciousness, hence sometimes unexpected things happen around him.He sometimes answers exactly what you are thinking, sometimes what he says somehow manifests, but he always tell you not to believe in miracle as this is a natural phenomena.Most other so called Gurus would have immediately claimed that I am doing it.At one point, there was an intense energetic environment and he said something because of which some people burst out and started crying. I also felt a sudden upsurge of energy in my spine, but I was not crying.I asked him why only few people cried and I didn't feel like crying?He said : “Every person reacts differently in different types of practices and one of the path will definitely connect with you.”That moment also came next day and unexpectedly (instead of crying) I started laughing out loud.Everything around felt like a big joke.That's what he says:“All this is a big joke!”“There is nothing except YOU here and real YOU is not an individual, but universal consciousness and common for every being, because YOU are non dual…Advait!Once you will wake up in this dream, no outside situation would be able to disturb your state of absolute bliss”This community conducts meditation camp free of cost but we paid for transportation, tent, sleeping bags and food.They only invite those who answer their questions satisfactorily.They remain anonymous and do not share their names or identity.Our Meditation teacher said:“This place is not meant for everybody. Only those people can reach here, who are really sincere and committed to realise their true self.”That's why they only allow those who answer their questionnaire properly.Before you try to answer their questionnaire, I recommend that you listen to their free guided meditations for sometime to prepare yourself.Although this community has no ashram or any official website, but you can get more information on Paroksh Yogi website, which is maintained by some members who were allowed to guide sincere seekers.I have no words to express what I have gained from there and I met many participants in the camp who also felt the transformation.RK

How long did it take you to get approved for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry?I know that if you get approved for Global Entry, that automatically gets you TSA PreCheck in addition to quicker and easier passage through immigration check points on international flights. But I heard it takes longer to get processed. I’d like to know typical time for both processes.After getting my first ever passport in the mail on Friday March 17, 2017, I applied for the Global Entry Program later that afternoon, and I received email notification of “conditional approval” on the morning of Tuesday March 28, 2017. I went online to schedule my interview, as instructed, and the earliest appointment I could find that coincided with my travel plans was for Thursday August 17, 2017 at LAX. However, I kept checking back every few hours throughout the day, and I kept rescheduling for earlier dates at different Global Entry Processing Centers until an opening popped up for 12:30pm Thursday March 30, 2017 at LAX. (This was a somewhat tedious process, as I had to continuously recheck each center individually.)I showed up about two hours early at the Global Entry Processing Center for my interview, just in case there was some sort of preamble to said interview, and they told me that they would take me in early, as soon as there was an opening. After that, I waited about five minutes for an interview that lasted less than five minutes, and my notification of status change to “approved” was in my email less than 30 minutes thereafter. Your mileage may vary, as I have no criminal record whatsoever, a stable (self-employed) job history, and a stable residence history that has remained exactly the same for well over a decade.Do you have your passport? Another common disqualifying criterion would be unpaid child support obligations, which is a non-issue for me, as I am happily childfree by choice.Start to finish, my application for the Global Entry Program was submitted, processed, approved, and ready to use in 13 calendar days.
