PDF Editor FAQ

What are some powerful habits bill gates instilled in himself at a young age?

There's a detailed explanation to this question on the book called Outliers by Malcom Gladwell.Gladwell explains that to become an outlier it requires 10,000 hours spent doing one thing plus a tremendous amount of luck, good fortune, “timing” or whatever you call it.The story of Bill Gates starts when he was an eighth grade student. The mothers group at his school have a bake sale every year. They buy something for the eighth grade class with the proceeds. They bought a PC before they had software. To get the PC to perform it was required to punch holes in a card, then putting the card in the PC. Bill was consumed and challenged by the process. But keep in mind that he was the only one in his class who became a household name. The University of Washington was across the street from his high school which had the next level computer he needed. There he met Paul Allen who became his partner 4 years later. The powerful habit that Bill Gates developed at an early age were curiosity, tenacity and persistence. He became literally obsessed with the challenge that programming represented. By the time he was at a mature age he had over 10,000 hours of experience in the field - way ahead of everyone else.I recommend you to read 2 books related to this question…“Outliers” by Malcom Gladwell“Mindset” by Carol DweckFantastic books!!

What did your drawings look like in middle school versus now?

I just left middle school- a freshman! Here’s some of my drawings from sixth and seventh grade-beware, they are not good.Sixth grade:My first acrylics, oil pastels..Mother’s days gift color pencilIn sixth grade, I mainly focused on color pencil and was scared to use darker, bolder colors…Now seventh grade/ eighth grade:I dared ventured into more drawing categories and finally tried drawing humans, I did some teacher portraits for teacher appreciation gifts and tried drawing anime for the first time. I also tried digital drawings for the first time ( Not really good at it) ..Inspired by a book coverSo that was my journey of art through my sixth/seventh/eighth grade years! I didn’t really improve that much but I did learn quite a lot throughout middle school, with my friends also being art enthusiasts. Hope you enjoyed :) critism greatly appreciated.Edit: the book the first digital drawing is based on is Brown Girl Dreaming - thank you Sophie Foster!

Can an advanced high school student read and understand CLRS "Introduction to Algorithms"?

I first got the CLR (there was no S in early editions) book in eighth grade because a used copy was sold -- almost given away -- along with a bunch of other older technical books at the local public library. I read it then over three months and understood about half of it (I knew basic pre-calculus math and was studying calculus at the time). By early tenth grade, having also gone to USACO camp once, I understood all of CLR and was asking my parents to order additional algorithms books from Amazon.

People Want Us

I like just about everything about CocoDoc. The flexibility, the conditional logic which only shows applicable questions based on previous answers, the builder (I can create a form to look natural on any website with all the available options). The integrations save time and increase conversions because visitors don't have to input their information multiple times.
