PDF Editor FAQ
Have you ever had a bad gut feeling about someone and it was right?
Absolutely! It will be hard for some people to believe but it has happened to my twin brother and I a few times. It just was my turn to get the really bad feeling instead of going through it. When we were 12 yrs old and we would all hang out on our front porch with friends. Me, my twin “T”, and lil brother “K” (2 yrs younger)were very close growing up, had all the same friends, and enjoyed running around. We had 2 mopeds that my dad got and had fixed up for us. You were supposed to be 15 to drive one legally. Of course, we didn't listen to that. My dad can do anything mechanically. He was AMAZING at it. I can safely say that man worked hard getting them going for us. He even made them go faster, to try and make up for the fact they weren't new. We didn't care at all. We knew that he loved us more than ANYONE in the world, and we thought they were the greatest things he could have brought home. They were older, worn out, and fast. We told everyone how our dad made them even faster, and no one could get ones faster. I love that man so much! We drove them every where. One day while we all were hanging out at our house on the porch our friend Jeremy asked for a ride to his house. “T” says he will take him. I immediately get this horrible feeling throughout my body, mind, and soul. I can't really explain it. I begged my brother not to go. Of course he wouldn't listen, even after I started crying begging him not to. He did agree to wear a helmet. We never wore them. So he leaves with Jeremy and they both had helmets on. I pased the porch just scared out of my mind. About 4 minutes later we here an ambulance. I start screaming and crying. I tell at my mom and tell her that, that ambulance is going to get “T” and he is hurt really badly. This is before cell phones. She slaps me across the face as hard as I have ever been slapped. Then says that I better never say something like that again. I drop crying. Then as she is about to start yelling again, Jeremy's mom pulls up and tells my mom exactly what I said. They went to leave, I asked to go, and I was made to stay home. I was very hardheaded and found my way to the hospital anyway. I don't know how but the receptionist some how knew that my brother was one of the boys brought in. I tried to go back, but he was hurt so bad they wouldn't let me see him. Security sat with me all evening until I have in and stopped trying to sneak in. I got to see him 2 days later. His face was black with asphalt imbedded in it. When he came out of surgery he looked like a mummy with a black face laying in a hospital bed. He had skin grafts on left shoulder, elbow, and both knees. His hands were shredded and black. He was in the hospital for about 3 weeks and out of school for half the year. One of the worst days of my life, and that is saying a lot. Jeremy had a broken arm and only minor road rash. He had landed on “T” and that's why ”T” took all the damage. The cops ended up telling us that my brother was hit from behind by a freaking drunk. My brother was turning and the drunk man didn't stop. My brother and Jeremy flew 25 ft and when they landed slid for almost half a city block. They road had just been finished, and you could see exactly how each part of the accident happened. The cops and doctors repeated over and over again to my brother that his helmet saved his life. His helmet had a huge chunk broke off. Thankful he is great now, just some scars and a crazy scary story to tell.To anyone still reading this long story, if you only remember one thing from my story PLEASE ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR GUT!!! I hope everyone is safe and loved.
What’s the fastest you’ve wiped a smirk off of someone’s face?
I was waiting court side, feeling the combined effects of a heavy dinner doused in wine, wee hour laughter and conversations with my wife, and the early morning wake up.It was 6:30 am. The Palm Springs sun was starting to make its presence known. The tennis club warmed as the tennis pro slowly opened shop silently. He said ‘you Sean?’ I nodded. He went back to it.Not very chatty, this one. I was enjoying my weekend away. An early morning was fun for me. For him, it was just a job.We walked out on court. He had a large cart of balls. With a small amount of talk, he agreed to just rally a bit to move me around. I just wanted to hit. It was gawd awful. My legs didn’t want to move at first. My stomach kept getting in the way. My topspin backhand wanted to shank every shot toward the moon. I heard him audibly sigh from across the net.‘Sorry about this. Just trying to get some feel back.’He professionally smiled, said not to worry, gave me some pointers that were wrong. I tried to make conversation to distract from my poor performance. He obliged with one word answers. Then it happened. After about 20 minutes, my fat covered muscles began to remember their twenty years of training. It’s like they all yelled within my body saying ‘he’s tennising again guys!’The pro hit to me. My forehand connected and hit a decent shot.‘There you go.’Then another. In the course of two rallies, we were running each other around. My strokes were making him struggle. He started having fun. After he lifted his game, and I still bullied him on court, he just wouldn’t shut up. His conversation and laughter infected the morning quiet. He was actually enjoying himself. Told me how he initially regretted not going drinking with his friends the previous night. Told me how he was worried I’d be just as bad as the old guys chipping and hacking at the ball on an adjacent court. Told me about his professional days and his rank. We shared some suggestions to each other when an error occurred. He was a different person. After about 25 minutes, my body quit. My muscles called a union break, and the fun trended for frustration. I apologized. Asked him not to make my mistake of allowing yourself to get fat — though the process is really fun . . .Having no more energy to run, I asked ‘Mind if I get a serve in?’‘Sure. Go for it.’‘Careful. It’s been awhile and I’m not sure where this will go.’I lined up. Tossed the ball. Threw my shoulder up. Oh! The pain. Every fiber from waist up just twisted in agony. I aced him.‘Let’s stop there. I’m good now.’This is less about wiping a smirk from someone’s face and more about bringing life back into someone’s day. I prefer the latter.Edit: I hope everyone reading this is doing well, in light of Covid-19. Part of this post is about bringing a small portion of happiness to someone’s day. Your voice, your words can bring a smile.Stay safe and stay healthy.
Hard question! Which do you prefer more: Run BTS, Bon Voyage or In The Soop? Why? It doesn't mean you dislike the others, of course.
You're not gonna like my answer, but here it is. 😂I'm not much of a fan of either one. I've seen maybe one or two “Bon Voyage" episodes total and I got bored with “In The Soop" after Episode 4 and stopped watching. Wanna know why? Because I don't think either series should exist. As much as I love the boys, I detest the fact that they are not allowed to go on a real vacation where they get to decide the itinerary, they get to decide where to visit, they get to travel at their own pace AND they don't have to pretend to enjoy their trips because there’s always a camera in their face. The whole point of a vacation is that it's not work. And yet, here we are. Watching the boys making their yearly trek around the world on someone else's time and someone's else's schedule. Nope. Don't like it.The only redeeming quality about “In The Soop" is that the boys DID get to make their own agenda for once and they didn't have to deal with the hassle of getting dragged all over the world for everyone's amusement but theirs. They also had a safe and cozy house to stay at with a bunch of fun games to play, lots of good food, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and their own rooms. The cameras shouldn't have been there, but that seems to be the closest thing to a real vacation that any of the boys have had since debut. In last half of Episode 1, one of them even said that they finally felt like they were really on vacation for first time in a long time and that seriously made me sad. It's one thing to “know" that they didn't actually enjoy their previous summer trips as they wanted us to believe, but it's a whole other thing to actually hear them say it. My only other complaint was that “In The Soop" was the longest ad for Chilsung Cider that I've ever seen in my life. But other than that, it was alright.So. Eventhough I don't have a “favorite” series, I will say that I found “In The Soop" to be the least distasteful of the two series. So it gets my vote. Here's a cute gif of Joon yelling at an R/C boat like an angry dad because why not? 😁Hope this answer helped! Enjoy your day. 💜(Not For Reproduction — Please Don't Share Without Permission)
