I would say what strikes me about the two is their stylistic differences. Trane moved through changes relentlessly and at breakneck speed, yes. In his playing, his note selection is quite clear if you are fast enough to follow it. Parker had an apparent randomness to his phrasing. He'd stop at unexpected places, then lift off again. That was a delightful signature of his self-expression. Where Parker's playing suggested chaos under control, Trane speaks to me of a mind packed full of ideas bursting to get out and executed with a hidden, steely determination.I think Parker also, as he created the vocabulary of jazz, utilized the characteristic 16th-note triplet pattern more than Trane, and these are sometimes kind of mental rest-points, whereas Trane's arpeggios were more straight-ahead plowing through the changes. I also think - and please, someone with more advanced harmonic knowledge than I check me on this - Trane built his solos out higher harmonically and a bit more exploring into 11th, 13th intervals, whole note scales, etc.That's a big etcetera for me. Never happened during my 11 months going through the Special Forces Traning Group, September 1968-August 1969, (now called the Q Course) or any other training while in a Group. When I arrived in the Nam assigned to the 5th Group, we were sent to an island called Hon Tra where the Combat Orientation Course was held. I picked it up to thumb through to see if it was worth the $29.On page 193 I saw a photo and was surprised to see my face, the last guy in line. We were practicing on how to disengage from an ambush. We were taught the Banana Peal or also called the Australian Peal. This was done at full speed after several dry runs. During the full speed we were firing live ammunition toward what would have been the location of the enemy.

You might see other like livestock or pets.Full blown insanity. No one knows what such an IQ would look like, but it isn’t unreasonable to assume that such an overactive brain would collapse in on itself and overwhelm the person.You could discover a whole new level of consciousness. Like dogs (likely) do not have introspective and meta-cognitive abilities, you could find something similar, that others would not be able to understand due to their less powerful brains. Sounds cool? Maybe but it would further your isolation.People who had knowledge of your abilities would try to use you.You would be famous, but not admired. You would be seen as a circus freak.Everyone would want to get a piece of your DNA. You would have many interesting potential sexual partners. Sounds cool? Now, imagine this. To you, those partners are less than mentally deficient (like having intercourse with a monkey). On many levels you would be exploiting them. There is a smaller difference between Terence Tao (IQ ~210) and a the most mentally handicapped person alive, than the difference between you and the smartest person on the planet (aside from you).You would have to conform to laws and practices of an intellectually less developed society. Many of their laws would seem illogical and stupid. Many of their laws would constrict your potential and rights. Much like living by the rules of a stone age society.Your psychology, morals and beliefs would be radically different to those of the people around youIf you were in psychological and emotional distress, no one would be able to help you.
