Rs 2000, may not mean a thing for me.But think about it. Likelyhood of someone like me(an IT professional - Quoran), who, works on a fixed schedule, commutes using the corporate provided bus service and travels through the busiest streets of Delhi, finding an accident victim is pretty remote. So, we the elite may not a good sample set to test this policy.The real sample set is an auto that cab driver, rickshaw driver, small shop owner, who doesn't find the courage to face police harrassment and also suffers a loss of a few days worth of his hard earned income when he carries a victim to a hospital. Likelyhood of them finding an accident victim are quite more than me. For them , the ‘good samaritan policy’ is a reward and a cover!Finally,I sincerely hope - this good policy by the Aam Aadmi Party’s Government in Delhi, led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is appreciated, noted and replicated in other states across the country. The good news is, it always has been, and probably always will be.(Sorry, I don’t know why I thought that would be good news).Yellow journalism, chequebook journalism, and slanted, sensationalist (and dubiously sourced) “news” articles are by no means unique to the current era, neither in terms of quantity, quality, nor complexity. Knowing who to trust, and whether to trust what they say, has always been a problem well beyond the realm of political journalism, but especially now that the stakes are so high. Even so, if know how to be a savvy news consumer, and know how to “peek behind the curtain,” so to speak, you can get a very good idea of who is trying to sell you a bill of goods, and who is just trying to hold your attention long enough to keep the newsroom open.Although this famous chart is somewhat difficult to read, the analysis[1] behind it is fairly straightforward.Take, for example, The Washington Post.[2] Although much maligned by conservatives for “liberal bias blah blah blah,” read their articles for yourself with a critical eye—but more importantly, read about the reports writing for the Post, and about the paper itself. Go to their website, and click on their “Policies and Standards” page. And then, read about their ethics policy. Their conflicts of interest policy. Their policies of fairness, taste, social media, advertising, corrections and clarifications, and most importantly of all, their opinion policy:OpinionThe separation of news columns from the editorial pages is solemn and complete. This separation is intended to serve the reader, who is entitled to the facts in the news columns and to opinions on the editorial and “op-ed” pages. But nothing in this separation of functions is intended to eliminate from the news columns honest, in-depth reporting, or analysis or commentary when plainly labeled. Although NPR is primarily supported by charitable contributions and listener donations, because NPR also receives some public funds it has actually taken the extraordinary step of hiring a kind of ombudsman—public editor, much like the one the New York Times had,[5] whose sole purpose is to advance the public interest and hold the organization (and its staff) accountable, and ensure the organization is serving as a faithful steward of the public’s trust. The NPR Public Editor actually has some pretty insightful opinion pieces about NPR’s coverage, and you can actually subscribe to the Public Editor’s newsletter to get alerts and articles that examine NPR’s coverage of various events—and the coverage about their coverage, such as the famously contentious Aftermath Of An Interview between NPR reporter Mary Louise Kelly and Mike Pompeo:When a journalist asks an elected or appointed official for an interview, the goal is to get information that can be reported to the public. In this case, Kelly wanted information about U.S. policy toward Iran, including an issue that should be of vital importance to all: How the U.S. intends to keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. She also had questions about Pompeo's stewardship of the State Department, and who is running U.S. foreign policy, which citizens have every right to know.The interviewee has an agenda, as well, usually to explain a policy or make a point, often of a political nature. Pompeo clearly wanted to explain his position on Iran in the wake of the administration's killing of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. He did so in answer to her second question.Were Kelly's follow-up questions about Iran or Ukraine emotional and badgering, as the comment from the Nantucket listener heard? I certainly don't hear them that way. She asked very specific questions about policy in the case of Iran, and when she didn't get a direct answer, she asked again, as any good reporter would do. She cited evidence. She was intimately familiar with the subject, just as you hope the Secretary of State would be, since it's his department's policy.And it's important to note that, despite Pompeo's subsequent claim, Kelly indicated to Pompeo's press secretary that she also would ask about Ukraine. Pompeo had every right to decline to answer. He did not. He said he wouldn't answer, but then kept answering. As any good interviewer would do, Kelly kept asking. That's not badgering, either. This answer is entirely my view and my research about the quality of Education in US, the costs associated with to it and the future.SO moving on,The answer to this question will be a Yes if the current year was any year pre 2008.but current year is 2016, so things have changed a lot in US after 2008 and yeah the answer to the question will be as strong NOOOOOOOOOO…..!!!!!WHY?1. This point purely illustrates MEDICAL point of view when I observed my sister taking the path of pursuing M.D in US. The qualification process for USMLE is not very easy, there are 3 STEPS in USMLE exam, each STEP has its own degree of toughness and financial costs associated, one of the STEPs should be give not online but in person on US soil, yes you have to travel to US and give your exam there and come back, the cost incurred for each STEP is very high, My sister took loan of RS 50k/- from a close friend to register for the 1st STEP in 2009, but sadly could not clear it because of personal problems.Summary: As far as I am concerned is its a very costly business for any middle class MBBS graduate to just write the exam forget studying there. If you do get through the loan taken is significant as the cost has rose way above what you can imagine, there is no guarantee that you will earn an amount to manage these loans, rent, food, travel and other expenses. There is also no guarantee that the immigrants will be permitted to become surgeons, pediatricians or any other top medical fields. So you will be left with the options which will make you earn less thereby enslaving you to pay the debt for life.2. Regarding the general point of view about the Education system in US. Its A SCAM similar to REAL ESTATE Housing bubble which exploded leading to 2008 recession(more on this under FOOD for Thought).The colleges, universities lure innocent aspiring students not only from homeland but also from other countries too.In the name of useless infrastructure fee, gym fee, sports fee, technology fee, the citizens and immigrants are burdened with huge loans by the time they graduate even before they land on a job.The US colleges and Universities average teacher to student ratio is very low but the tuition costs are so high, then what are we paying for???.Right whats next after graduating??Are there sufficient vacancies to fill up the people graduating every year. Sadly no, I can bet that any average engineering student going there who wanted to pursue in his field of study at the end of 1st semester will drop the courses/modules he initially opted for, will later pursue Computer Science or Management or both together. Why? the job market is predominantly skewed towards IT and Management.Note: If you are seriously interested in pursuing MS in electronics, mechanical, manufacturing degrees and a decent job. Go to China, China is the US in these fields.In this question there is a word ‘SETTLE’, my view of why Indians “Settle” there is because they cannot pay off their huge debt in RUPEE so they try every possible way to get any job(ANY JOB) to atleast pay off the interest in advance. In this way they are forced involuntarily to SETTLE(Its not purely from their heart.)They become slaves to the “AMERICAN DREAM” yet they wake up with the thought of loan and go to bed with thought of their loan.They cannot eat properly as the food does not taste anywhere near to the food available in their home country even there are many INDIAN Restaurants which sell food at exorbitant prices. (FOOD, CLOTHING, SHELTER are three principle things for any human in this world.)They miss family, friends terribly but they cannot escape as the LOAN alarm immediately starts clinging in their minds.Slowly, Steadily they become AMERICANIZED.One thing I want to mention from the book of WINGS OF FIRE which is relevant to the topic.
