Rural Youth Application: Fill & Download for Free

One of the faculty member in our departmental group shared a message about an App namely Impact Run.The simple idea behind the application is For every Km you walk, you can raise Rs 10/- for a cause of your choice.The money doesn’t come from your own pocket, but from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds or Kitties of companies who sponsor those cause.This is the best thing I read recently because this allowed me to add a social aspect to my walks/runs. I walk around 3–4 Km on a daily basis. But because of this application, I am also able to raise some funds for the needy people along with taking care of my own well being.I have been using this app for the past 3–4 months. I have raised around 4700/- for Training The Rural Youths. This cause is sponsored NASSCOM Foundation and Global Talent Track (a nonprofit).Since this message was shared on WhatsApp, initially Even I was skeptical about its authenticity. But since I had nothing much to lose, I searched about this initiative on the internet and downloaded this app.Even though this initiative has not been covered by the mainstream media (since they are busy discussing if a certain movie should be released or not), they have got some coverage in the local newspapers.I'm sure most of us go for morning or evening walks and carry our mobile phones while walking. All you need to do is download that App and press start button as you start you walk. No big deal for us. But this small effort of yours may go a long way in helping the people in need.So, to sum it up, the gist of the post about Impact Run that I read on my group is something that I thought is worth sharing.Edit 1:

Yes & the shortage is artificial.The recruiting officers ‘believe’ that only English speaking / Knowing candidate will have the ‘Officer like quality’.Shortage is shown to demand more allowance & facilities. The impression is made to the country that, not many youngsters are joining the Armed forces, due to wages & allowance.If life of an officer is so bad, why are the children of officers, joining the Armed forces? In fact majority of the selected candidates are from the families of serving & retired officers.There is enough talent available in the country of 130 Crore people, but when not enough advertising is done to inform the rural youth, how will they even apply?(Similarly UPSC conducted SCRA, which till some years back was a ‘guarded secret’ so that only a few could apply. Now the situation has changed for the better).
