I read an interesting statistic last night. Apparently, even in the last season, he took 4 games and 28 shots to score his first goal. This season also, it has taken him exactly 4 games and 28 shots again to get on the score-sheet in Serie A.Despite the slow start last season, he went on to become the second highest goal scorer in La Liga (26), top scorer in UCL (15) and the highest goal scorer across all competitions for both club and country (54). He also put up 8 assists to his name.Now that he has opened his account, I expect him to replicate the same records. He was playing nicely in the first three games too but was a tad bit unlucky. It was just a question of when the goals would start coming in. A brace ain’t too bad, I guess.

Because haters will always be haters.Has he been the best player?No. But as the other answerer has said check his stats. Making more key passes, making double the number of successful passes Robben has made speaks volume about his quality. Ozil is not a player who grabs the lime-light but he quietly works his magic in the shadows. A sorcerer's apprentice as Cristiano Ronaldo so affectionately calls him. To all those of you who call him lazy, go to FIFA and check the team statistics of every player and you will see that he runs more than the team average. I know it is not a big deal for a winger but definitely not something that counts as lazy. As for him scoring, he might have missed a few against Brazil but he does not usually take that many shots. He is a very selfless player. Take Khedira's goal for example. Ozil could have easily put it in himself from that position but he returned the favour to Khedira who passes to him in the first place. The German players adore him and that was why they gave him so many chances in the second half to shoot and even a free kick which he hasn't really taken much this World Cup. And they did it cozTHEY THOUGHT HE DESERVED BEING ON THE SCORE SHEETIf you are still not convinced, pay close attention to him whenever he plays. Keep an eye on him for the full 90 minutes and you will know what I am saying.As a supporter of Arsenal and Real Madrid, I was impressed by him in the last World Cup and my respect for him just keep increasing as I see more and more of him. As I said above, I keep an eye on him and he definitely does not deserve the wrath of critics. Low is convinced and always keeps him in the starting XI.Still not convinced?Fuck off because it does not matter.

Here is the summary of my takeaways of the Leicester Game .Positives1. The stronger mentality and contagious confidenceThis point was what impressed me the most. I cannot recall the last time I had so much confidence in a United squad to get a result since the Ferguson days.Even after Lukaku missed the penalty , the team did not drop their heads by getting more desperate, but instead they stuck to their game plan and continued pilling the pressure even though frustrations mounted. They were eventually rewarded. Confidence and Morale is at an all time high with this squad and its paying dividends on the pitch.2. More people are stepping up to shoulder the goal burdenToday was a great sign to allay fears on any doubts that United will be over reliant on Lukaku for goals this season. Fellaini & Rashford are the latest to join the list on the different goal scorers the past three games. United paid the price last season for our over reliance on Zlatan and whenever he had a bad day, the team simply could not produce the goods.Today, Lukaku played the best he could but the stars did not align for him today yet we still walk away with a victory. Lets hope more players get into the score sheet over the next few weeks.3. Our style of playSure Mourinho will not keep this up the entire season, but I am loving the way United are playing at the moment. Brute force down the middle, 2 creative midfielders and a box to box engine to overwhelm the midfield, a winger who constantly keeps the defense on its heels and overlapping full backs. United throughout the game asserted their dominance and did not bore even though they opted for a direct style of play.The constant switching of offensive approach will certainly tire out opponents who decide to set up shop . This was evident in the 2nd goal with Leicester falling asleep letting Lingard free to set up Fellaini. This United side is getting recognition as being the most powerful team in the league, due to their overwhelming presence throughout the pitch.4. Squad DepthYet again, the substitutions have done the final damage . Players who are coming from the bench are finally stepping up and playing their best to prove a point to Mourinho. Almost every position, United has a decent deputy waiting to rotate out the starters right now.5. Bailly- Jones PartnershipFair play to Jones. I called for his head pre season , but alongside Bailly, Jones has been immense throughout the three games and especially today which I felt he deserved MOTM.NegativesOur Fullbacks’ Crossing Are WoefulBlind and Valencia had a mare in terms of their offensive production today. Even if they worked tirelessly to provide overlaps, their delivery to the final third today was atrocious to put it kindly. Valencia looked too predictable as always, Blind simply could not provide the service the target men needed. This does not bode well if we are looking to play a more direct style against teams who are compact defensively.2. Lukaku should never be the designated penalty taker.I am not basing this off on this one miss. Lukaku penalty record has been slightly average and he has the tendency to aim for the left and has seen 3 such shots saved. Lukaku should not take up penalty duties after today.All in all, 3/3 wins, 10 goals scored and 0 conceded. United is truly back.
