Since British children are constantly expected to take on American terminology in American books, and cope comfortably with it, and there doesn’t seem any good reason why the reverse shouldn’t be the case, it begins to sound as though American publishers don’t think much of what American children can grasp. I’d feel insulted if I were an American child! When she became prime minister, she could have continued Mr Cameron’s arrangement of using the cabinet office to co-ordinate across departments, in the event of Brexit. And with a lead given to the foreign and commonwealth office.Instead, Mrs May created a brand new Department for Exiting the European Union, which has borrowed from other departments and acts both as inter-departmental referee and Brexit policy maker. And it’s also created a power base for Brexit minister David Davis, that’s when he’s not ”hamstrung” by the prime minister or loosing ministers.The UK government is incoherent, poorly prepared for Brexit and running out of time. But a chocolate orange collapse is not going to happen.
