It is clearly written in the news report referred in the question, “…the Bombay High Court replaced the judge who had been hearing a set of five petitions challenging the discharge of some senior Gujarat Police officers accused in the case.”Hence, it is evident that the decision to transfer the judge was not of the Central or State Government (s), but that of the High Court.The High Court(s) and Supreme Court in India are independent institutions and the Central or State Governments have no role even in the appointments of the judges.We don’t know the exact reasons why the judge was transferred.It is unfair to ascribe motive for every transfer that is related to a political leader and blame BJP for it.Ascribing any motive to this transfer may amount to the contempt of the Honorable Bombay High Court also.
