How do I apply for a Schengen visa in the USA as an Indian?

I have applied for Schengen visa twice to visit Greece and Spain respectively. For both consulate you must book an appointment before travelling to the embassy. Greece embassy was taking appointment through telephone; however, Spain had a website to book the slot. Please ensure to book the appointment at least two months before the date of travel. Getting an appointment for Spain was difficult since the dates were very few. So, both the times, after getting the appointment, I took the following documents, to the nearest embassy which was Houston in my case.• Visa application form. Fully completed and signed: Greece Embasssy required only one form. However, Spain required two copies of the same.• Two recently taken photos• A valid passport.• Round trip reservation or itinerary: I reserved an itinerary on American to show my tentative dates of travel.• Travel insurance policy. For Greece, my Aetna insurance from company worked. However, for Spain they require 0 deductible for overseas travel. I took Mawista travel policy which is quite cheap.• Proof of accommodation. Reserved a hotel for the times.• Proof of financial means: Took bank account statements, credit card statements, tax statements to show the financial documents.• Proof of paid visa fee. 60 dollars in cash is needed• Letter of Invitation: In both cases I was travelling for a conference so I took the conference letter. For Greece embassy they just needed the letter of acceptance of the paper. However, for Spain I had to provide them Conference Invitation letter• Prepaid envelope: To send your passport back to the home address. Greece takes any type of envelope. However, Spain takes only ups prepaid envelope.Since I work I had to provide documents as well:• Employment contract.• Leave permission from the employer. For Greece, I had a personal appointment with the consulate officer who was very friendly. She took my photograph and fingerprints and suggested me places to visit in Greece. After this, I got my passport in 5 days mailed to my home address. For Spain, since I did not had conference invitation letter, travel insurance policy and credit card statements, they asked me to send the documents through Fedex. Once I submitted them, the passport came in 5 business days.Just an observation, Greece embassy was quite cordial and friendly in comparison to Spain Embassy.

How do I send a prepaid envelope to the CPC for a Canadian PR visa from the USA? I have approached Fedex, UPS, and USPS and none of them would provide a shipping label on return service for international shipments.

I do this regularly for Canadian shipments. It's called an import control I believe. UPS Stores can create them for you - it's a little more complicated and you may have to call around to find one that will, but they should know how to do it.Part of the reason it's complicated is the invoice documentation and power of attorney that should be included with the return shipment. Paperwork can go missing from shipments and it makes it harder to get it through customs when that happens. There's also the chance that the return label could be misused.

Is there anyway to apply for a Schengen visa in Seattle and not fly to California?

There is an honorary French Consulate in Seattle, but it doesn’t look like you can apply on-site there either. However, here is a link to their address, number and email just in case you want to confirm with them. https://www.embassypages.com/missions/embassy13124/Now, there is an option that may be worth exploring. You can probably even ask them about it if you call.According to the French Consulate’s website, if you meet certain criteria you may be able to send your application to San Francisco and apply by mail. The following is from the French Consulate’s website (please see below): https://sanfrancisco.consulfrance.org/spip.php?article2673Not applying in person:If you already hold a Schengen visa bearing the mention "VIS" on it issued less than 5 years ago, you don’t have to apply in person (even if this visa is expired, or if it is in an old passport). In that case, you may apply by mail. Please mail us your completed application form along with a copy of all the supporting documents as indicated on the website.Your application documents shall also include :- a copy of your Schengen visa with the “VIS” mention- a credit card authorization form for the fees- a self-addressed prepaid envelope with a tracking number (from USPS OR FEDEX ONLY, with the mailing label fill out as indicated below). Please do NOT send us your green card a photocopy of it will do.Please note that “VIS-0” is different from “VIS” and is not eligible for this process.APPLICATIONS BY MAIL NOT MEETING THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE RETURNED TO SENDER .FROM:YOUR NAME88 Kearny Street #600SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94108TO:Your full nameYour addressGet Approved Schengen Visa Travel Insurance at G1G.com
