They have to look at other criteria to dismiss other applicants such as whether their statement of purpose is strong or not, whether their achievements outside the academics is impressive or not.And thats(in my opinions) how you get in. Besisdes an excellent academic record, you need to show other acievements or interests outside academics that’ll impress them and also an excellent statement of purpose that’ll showcase your talents and (grand)ambitions.Although I have to mention, based on my personal experience, your chances of getting a job in UK after graduation are very bleak no matter how top ranked your university is. So if getting job matters to you, research carefully on your job prospects.Hope this helps, good luck.Edit: Its good that you’re startig this in class 10 itself. So apart from the things I mentioned above, also start learning and practising English. When you write your IELTS, you should ideally show a score of 8 or preferably 8+. That is also important.

But your main focus in the first 2 years should be to excel at your academics and to build a balanced CV by participating in online competitions and coding challenges, creating stuff like apps, games, etc, publishing papers, showcasing your skills through your Github repository, etc.Make sure that you have a strong online presence on channels like Project Euler, Github, LinkedIn/Medium that showcases your skills and strengths.
