Conversion is a process whereby one rejects and leaves one BS to join another BS (Belief System). Once you have filled up the application form for the UES (University Entry Scheme) in the Indian Navy Website they will themselves contact you and tell you about the further procedure.Firstly they will mail you a call-up letter informing you of the place where subsequent rounds of Group Discussion & Interview will take place. In my case as you can see below they called me down to Netaji Subhas Engineering College at Kolkata.From what I saw it was more like a pool-campus being held. All of us were seated in the auditorium when the Navy recruitment team arrived. They kick started the process with a PPT showcasing the might of our Indian Navy and what challenges would lie ahead if one decided to pursue this path. They even put in a slide mentioning the CTC just to help us compare (though I think it’s more because of respect than money that one decides to join the Indian Navy !).Then we were broken down into groups and each group was called one by one for a round of group discussion under the supervision of a single Navy officer. Once the GD was done with he asked us to give a brief introduction about ourselves and why we wanted to join the Navy and then he asked a Technical question to each one of us and the question was based upon our respective streams of Engineering. And then we were asked to leave.After this the first round got over and the next surprise again came in the form of a mail inviting me for a round of SSB-training at Coimbatore.Unforunately, I had my B.Tech Final year Mid-Semesters nearby and hence decided not to go for the further rounds.Hope this helps !

The Recruitment programme is published in local newspapers, and also publicized through other media, preferably one month prior to the conduct of the rally by the concerned Zonal Recruiting Offices.
