PDF Editor FAQ
How was your first day at your first job?
Um,pretty hectic.A buzzing clinic with four fit cubicles and a common passage where patients and their attendants were on the go.As I entered I was given my first, warm “good morning Ma'am” from the cashier/counter person who was thrice my age followed by the many nursing girls and ladies. It felt wonderful for the 23 year old me! Every ounce of hardwork in med school was beginning to earn its respect I thought.Newbies aren't given shifts,so I started out working from morning through early night.I was assigned a cubicle and had a friend,a fellow dentist show me how things work.Minutes into the job,it felt surreal. The nurses were kind and cooperative. I vividly remember the first patient I treated,a physically handicapped man in his early forties who'd come in to get a filling done.He had a full smile throughout and the way I was offered help,he sure would've thought I was new. I went on to attend a few more patients, fill casesheets, work basic procedures and send them off returning their genuine smiles. A sense of relief seeped in once I got the hang of it.The chief enters with the receptionist in tow. We wish her the brightest noon and the tougher OP starts. We tag behind her zig zagging the cubicles seeing her crack the tough cases and we do our bit of learning.I also happen to get a stare glance from her as to why I look perplexed all the time. I was new and the atmosphere was frenzy, she should’ve understood but that's okay. Staunchness on the fact that moving and hustling were a part of work dawned on me. That way you're on your toes which is a delight in the eyes of your superiors. It sets the tone right for a happening place and makes you feel worked up all the time. Finally the OP comes to an halt late noon, I grab some lunch, stretch my cramped up legs all the while listening to the friend educating me on the usuals,we chat some more, freshen up and wear back my spotless crisp white coat to get set for the evening rush. The atmosphere was doubly busy with all the nursing staff running around to get things done for the patients while we were stuck to our chairs. I remember how the girls were organized and coordinated amidst the chaos. It later calmed down to an eerie silence and I was more than relieved by the sound of it. Calling it a day at around 8 in the night,we bid our thankful goodbyes. As I got down the stairs reminiscing the day, a sense of satisfaction foiled me enough to not let go the opportunity. My dad happened to pick me up and the ride back home was spent giving short insights of how my day went!
What happens in 2nd year MBBS postings? How is the experience of entering your 2nd year in an MBBS?
Hello everyone! We all might have heard about 2nd year being called as honeymoon period. So we will enter 2nd year with heavy expectations and of course , we will be enthusiastic about clinical postings. In our college, our second year started with many fests. It started with fresher's day. Though it's called fresher's day…we enjoy it the most!Me being day scholar , skipped many fests in the first year. I also had this fear of getting ragged by seniors. Anyways , i thought to compensate all those and participated in most of the events in the 2nd year. Then there were ethnic day , college day etc… I really enjoyed these fests a lot😁. Had lot of fun and many memories to cherish. Now coming to clinical postings,PSMFor our batch , postings started with PSM. It was chill kinda posting. We were divided into a group of two and were asked to go to houses in a particular colony and get the particulars filled. It was lot of fun. When every other batch were inside the hospital we are outside and we used to sit at a nearby shop and buy the food and eat there , chit chat and also complete task assigned!PAEDIATRICSThis posting is my favourite one!Had a lot of fun and learned a bit too. We used to see many kids and enjoyed being with them.We used to chat a lot in our paeds lecture gallery and watch series and stuff till the PG arrives😂On the last day, we took this group pic !Iam 4th one from left!TB PostingThis posting is like a nightmare. I really feared alot.We used to wear 2 masks and move to a corner till the professor arrives. But , good amount of proxies were given in this posting.OpthalThere is nothing to say about this posting.I didn't enjoy it . We were asked to write a lot in this posting.ENTENT is chilled out posting.I can never forget this posting because it is during this posting I started watching game of thrones!MEDICINEHere comes the dragon. This is the posting where i learnt a lot.We took many cases and learnt how to write a casesheet. Pg's are also very friendly .Medicine posting is something you can never forget . You can learn a lot here. You can see different kinds of cases.SURGERYSurgery posting is where you get that chance to wear OT dress and of course everyone of us want to cherish that moment. You can see cases like ulcers , hernia, hydrocele etc..You can see many minor and major cases. Here is our groupfie moment!Iam 2nd from left! Here is the closer look.Yes I absolutely love myself in OT dress 😂OBGHere I got the chance to attend c-section surgeries.I can still remember my heart pounding during those surgeries. But both professors and pg's here are always angry. In gynec also, we attended many minor and major surgeries.Iam gonno attach few pics!Clinical postings are always fun!Eventually, every moment spent there will be a memory.✌🏼
What is the most despicable thing you have seen a lawyer do?
I am a gynaecologist ,so while sitting in gynae emergency in a government hospital all rape victims come to us for examination and later on whenever court hearing of that particular case occurs we have to be there as an expert witness .So once there was a 15 yr old girl raped and was 4 months pregnant came ,I wrote admission for her as they wanted abortion. In India court hearing is a very long affair so I got summon for this case after 2 years ,when I reached the court, the hospital paper where I wrote admision was shown to me nothing beyond that to confirm what furthur treatment was given. I was not shown any detail before hand so was not remembering further . I was shocked by the defence lawyer who was a female and was asking me “are u sure she was pregnant” there was ultrasound attached to that casesheet I had filled at the time of admision , I almost felt like throwing that on her face , but instead I looked her in her eye and replied I am 100 percent sure but for further treatment given I would need to see the further documents. I knew the justice was delayed. Another 2 months for another hearing. I was pissed at the system and also at that lawyer.
