I'm aiming to get this out into the public consciousness, because while most facts people know actually come from hearing them in stories, updated information takes decades to filter back into new stories, as most writers cover the same ground with what they learned from others' stories. Eskimos don't have a crazy number of words for 'snow,' sharks don't have to keep swimming to live, Mister Rogers wasn't a fighter pilot, and victims of child sexual abuse don't become offenders. I’m designing a comic strip for my boyfriend.I was running out of ideas for this Saint Valentine’s day. After all, we have been dating for a long time. I have already given him all the possible gifts ever: clothes, a dinner out, a trip, a chocolate box, a concert, a day at the spa.I wanted something original that could express my feelings for him and all the stages of our relationship. How we met in kindergarten, how we became enemies, then friends, then best friends, then lovers.You guys always tell me about how I should write a book about our romantic story, and then the idea of the comic strip came out.The scenes are fun, honest and sometimes even touching. I confess that I had some troubles holding my tears while working on it.The two main characters are Cheese Puff, as he used call me back in our childhood, and Sweet Thang, what I used to call him in high school for teasing.I hope the resamblance is pretty much evident. Except for the height, I know. In the truth he is 6′1 while I am 5′2.The cover is gonna be this one:The title is a refrain of the very fist song he dedicated to me. It's Italian and the translation is: “ Because there is nothing more stunning than you”.The biggest aim is to let him know that I’m so grateful for everything he does for me. Even for the small things. I know that he would try to make the impossible possible for me.I want him to know that I’ve got his back too and that I feel so blessed to have him in my life since when I was 3.
