What is the naughtiest thing you did in school?

Junior year of high school. I despised my Honors English teacher, and the feeling was definitely mutual.I’ll call him Mr. P (because that was what I called him in class, though I always elongated the pronunciation so it came out more like ‘Mr. Pee’).He gave the most ridiculous exams; asked things about the font used in a book, where it was published, where the author went to school, etc. I refused to pander to these silly questions, so I usually got a D or F on the multiple choice / fill in the blank portion of the test. But I was an excellent writer, so I usually got an A on the essay assignments and essay portions of the exams.About two-thirds of the way through the first semester, we had to give a speech on a certain topic. He loved my speech so much that he asked me to type it up to submit to a contest. I had no interest in doing that for two reasons; I didn’t want to spend extra time to type up the speech, since I had given the speech from hand-written notes on index cards, and because I did not want that teacher to get any credit whatsoever for my writing, since I’d learned nothing from him. So I declined his offer. He told me that if I didn’t submit it to the contest, he’d give me a D on it instead of an A. So I said that I would go ahead and type it up for him. He reminded me several times about the speech, and I kept telling him that I was really really busy and would get it done over winter break. He became very nice to me, even giving me an especially easy topic for the final exam (he personally assigned exam essay topics so that he could give people easy or difficult topics depending upon whether he liked them or not), and gave me a final grade of B+ for the first semester, reminding me once again about the speech.Over winter break I dropped out of Honors English. He knew I would never type up the speech, and he was furious; absolutely livid. You could see the steam coming out of his ears when he saw me in the hallway after winter break. But that’s just the beginning of the story!Second semester of Junior year, he blackballed me from the National Honor Society. It didn’t really bother me; I didn’t think it was a big deal at all. But I decided to have more fun with him…First semester senior year, I approached him with a teacher recommendation form for Yale University. I said “Mr. Pee, I know we’ve had our differences in the past, but I know that you respect my writing abilities, so I was hoping that you could put our differences aside and write a letter of recommendation for me for Yale. Could you do that?”He grinned ear-to-ear like the Cheshire Cat, put his hand on my shoulder, and said “David, I am so glad you asked me. There is nothing I’d like more than to write you a letter of recommendation for Yale!”Two days later, I was in homeroom when I was urgently called down to the guidance office. I went into my counselor’s office, and he said “What the h*ll were you thinking??? You asked Mr. P to write you a recommendation for Yale??? You KNOW he hates you!! He blackballed you from the honor society, for goodness sake!! This is the absolutely worst recommendation letter I’ve ever seen!!”He went on to read excerpts of it to me; I couldn’t help but smile as I heard him refer to me as “the devil incarnate” not once, but three times, and stated that of all the students he had taught in his 30 years as a teacher, I was the absolutely least deserving student to attend Yale.My counselor went on to explain that luckily all the letters come through his office, so he will trash the letter and told me to ask someone else for the letter. I told my counselor “No, I don’t want you to do that. That wouldn’t be right. I asked him to put aside our personal differences and write me a letter based on my writing ability, and he agreed. You have to send out the letter exactly as it is.”He tried valiantly to change my mind, but I refused to budge, so he very grudgingly sealed the envelope and sent it, telling me I was even crazier than he thought I was!For the rest of Senior year, every time I saw Mr. Pee in the hallways, he would get that Cheshire Cat grin, and ask me how I was and if I was excited for college decisions to come out. Finally, mid-April rolled around, and word got out who had been accepted where, including who had gotten into Yale. I was sitting at a large table in the cafeteria, and Mr. Pee came over to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and grinned and said “So David, have you heard from Yale?”I looked up at him: “Yale? I didn’t apply to Yale! I got into MIT, Princeton, Duke… everywhere I applied, but I didn’t apply to Yale!”The entire table burst out laughing, knowing exactly what I had done, and that I never had any intention of applying to Yale. He turned beet-red, and steam coming out of his ears, and marched off in defeat! To add insult to injury, the rest of the teachers decided that it would look very strange if I was getting all these awards at the award ceremony, including multiple national awards, but wasn’t in the honor society, so the principal over-ruled his blackball and I was accepted into the honor society.

Can my 7th grade teacher fill out a recommendation form for high school?

It completely depends on who is asking for the recommendation. They get to decide. Most high schools want a recommendation from your most recent (English) teacher.

I love the ability to easily customize forms in a logical and well thought out manner. The best feature by far is the automations that are built right into the platform.
