Very good question. I have been voting in California for nearly 50 years. I can attest that at no precinct have I ever been asked for proof of citizenship. Nor have I ever seen anyone else asked for proof of identity or citizenship.California has a Motor Voter Law that AUTOMATICALLY registers everyone who applies for a drivers license to also be registered to vote. And since California also gives free driver’s licenses to illegal aliens….. well, you do the math. Oh, and the law PROHIBITS the DMV from sharing citizenship data on drivers licenses with the State authorities who are supposed to keep the voter registrations free of illegals… so nobody can purge them.
