Matt was shot three times and died of his injuries. Samantha was shot once but survived. The firm where I did my internship for my Chartered accountancy course had merged with another firm.The first rule from the new head office (Delhi) was every article trainee should wear a tie both at office and client sites.My city (Chennai ) is known for 3 seasons hot hotter hottest and wearing a tie at this climate is real pain. Our admin tried new methods and measures to keep this 'tie' thing enforced.It was a bad morning on first day of the month and as soon as I entered the office without tie , I got caught.She : where is the tie.Me : I have it in my place , will go and wear it there.She : the rule is, you should enter the office with tie not otherwise. Do you put your shirt after coming to office.?Me: ( I lost my cool at this point). Mam, mind your language ? What you want me to do ? Mark leave for me today -ok ? Is there any fine for not wearing tie.? I will do but don't talk too much.(She didn't expect I would ask for fine)She: what fine ? Can you pay whatever i say ? 500 rupees?Me : 500/ day or month?(Again she didn't expect it - on a flow - she said)she: monthly.Me : Mam take this 500, I will not wear tie for this month. I have paid the fine for this month.I went to my place , wrote a mail to her asking receipt for fine, also marking copy to some of my close colleagues. Everyone came down and paid her 500 and said they wont wear tie too. :-P. One of my bosses even came down after hearing the news and paid 500 :-P.The policy on tie imposition was reduced and made compulsory only when someone from Delhi came to Chennai.
