Journal articles will be pdf files. Save them to Google drive. Open a copy as a Google Doc file, and annotate and summarize to your hearts content. And of course you can copy from Google Doc right into Word, for your theses.

Anyone with the link can currently access and modify it. There is also a Hall of Shame folder for studies that are known to have serious methodological flaws.How do you navigate the library?Going through the subfolders is one way. A more useful way is the tag system, since a paper may belong to more than one subfolder. Clicking on article brings up the abstract, all the tags associated with the article, a link to the source, and a PDF if availableCan you annotate the articles?Yes, if you install the F1000 browser extension. Open the page you want and highlight the text you want to emphasize. Click the F1000 button that comes up and then “save”. Anybody who accesses the page from the library will see the highlight. Lots of the other answers are good, but I just wanted to add on a bit. :)The way I see it, you have two options. Choose one, choose both, as long as you accomplish your mission.Option One: Old School (Books)A very easy start is to read the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. They're young adult books, and they cover a lot of the most important gods/goddesses and myths in an entertaining way. You are 16, though, so it might seem a little juvenile, depending on your tastes.If fantasy young adult novels aren't your thing, try:The Library of Greek Mythology by Psuedo-Apollodorus. This is actually a primary source; scholars have been studying it for centuries.The Iliad and The Odyssey. I would recommend reading these from an actual book so you can take notes or annotate as needed, because reading it online can be kind of daunting.Mythology: Timeless Tales of Gods and Heroes is a classic. It covers pretty much everything and the writing style makes it seem like you’re just reading a story, not a scholarly text.The Complete World of Greek Mythology. It goes more into detail about the historical and geographical aspects of the myths than the book above.Option Two: Internet Ver.Just to warn you, the Internet might not be the best starting place because it can be confusing and/or misleading. That being said, here are some good websites to use as sources:www.theoi.com is an extensive resource, I really recommend this one.www.greekmythology.com is also a good place for learning mythology. It has an app too, if you have an iPhone.www.history.com has some interesting videos and a general overview of popular myths and gods.And as for general learning strategy, here's how I would go about doing it:Become familiar with the 12 Olympians. These are the “main” gods/ goddesses and the subjects of most myths.Learn the origin story. In any culture’s mythology, the origin story, or the story of how the world came to be, is a good place to start. Try Hesiod’s Theogony for the complex version or here for the simpler one.Study the myths involving Poseidon, Hades, and Zeus. These are the most powerful of the Olympians and the most famous myths involve them.Go to museums. Lots of classical paintings depict Greek myths or gods, and often the description of the painting (found next to the painting on the wall) retells the story. You may also see Ancient Greek pottery or sculpture with gods or heroes as the subjects.From here, it will get easier to go into the minor gods and heroes.I hope this helps, and good luck!
