PDF Editor FAQ

Do BTS like anime?

Yes they do!! Crunchyroll even featured BTS in one of their articles in 2019. (If you didn’t know, Crunchyroll is a huge platform dedicated to distributing and publishing anime.)Here’s the article: BTS is Conquering the World, and They’ve got Anime on Their Side! This article does a great job compiling “evidence” of the boys enjoying anime. I’ll just include some here but there’s much more! And here’s a pic they included of Jungkook watching Haikyuu! on his phone:(Ahhhhhh he loves this volleyball anime too!!)They also cited the Noisey interview the boys did. Here’s the video for that: BTS on Having No Friends, Drake and Pokémon - The Noisey Questionnaire of Life.

My husband said he doesn't want a "tomboy" for a daughter and won't let her play 4th grade basketball. Would volleyball be a better compromise?

You don’t get to decide who your kids are. Their personalities develop, their wants and needs are still present when suppressed by parents and it leads to more and more conflicts between you all.I don’t understand why parents are always so surprised when they have babies who become their own person. You didn’t have a questionnaire when they were being made that you get to check and uncheck boxes about who they’re going to be.

How do I get recruited for sports at an elite academic college?

I could be more help if I knew your sport or background. The rules can vary by sport, but this is a general plan for getting recruited to a high academic school. This comes from a guide I created for volleyball players but it works similarly for many other sports.Keep your grades up. The number one question college coaches ask is “How are her/his grades?” This is especially important at elite academic schools but every coach wants a good student. This is COLLEGE after all. Study study study.Join a club sport. Depending on your sport, you may need to join a club program to increase your exposure. Club programs like East Coast Power Volleyball have a number of recruiting specialists to help our players. We also have a number of college coaches on staff that work with our players, so we have a lot of resources to help athletes get recruited.University Athlete Profile: Create a free college recruiting profile on University athlete. https://universityathlete.com/#/ This is the profile many college coaches use to find you at major tournaments/events. This is a must for any player who wants to play in college.Get Video. If you play in a team sport like volleyball, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, video is an important tool to attract college coach attention. Arrange to take video at tournaments or hire a firm to take your video. Add video to your University Athlete page and use the video links to send to college coaches. If you are a swimmer or a track athlete, you should keep links that show your official times at various events. You can provide this to college coaches during the recruiting process.Create a College Spreadsheet: Recruiting requires just a little organization. Create a lists of the schools where you want to play. The list should include a range of options — top tier “reach” schools, possible/probable schools and safety schools. Create a list of 20 to 30 colleges to start. Look up college coach contact information (email and phone) and add to your spreadsheet. For certain sports, you can look up the current team roster and see how many students will graduate from the program the year you will enter. That will give you a sense of how many spots are open during your recruiting year. For instance, if you are a high school junior now, look up a team and see how many college juniors are on the team now and what positions they play. That will tell you the spots the coaches likely are recruiting for in your grad year.Register on College Team Websites. Go to the website of all the colleges on your list and find the athletic college recruiting questionnaire for the school in which you are interested. Fill it out, as this will become an important reference guide for coaches at the school looking for specific players.Email Coaches. Now that you have completed your University Athlete player profile and your college recruiting spreadsheet, send an email to coaches telling them of your interest in the sport, include links to your video and invite them to come see you play at a tournament. Make sure you include a coach contact as recruiters may want to reach out to the coach first (often they are limited by NCAA rules as to how much contact they can have with you, the athlete) Go to the NCAA website to learn the various recruiting rules that apply to the school where you are applying. Many high-academic schools fall into Division 3, which has fewer recruiting restrictions than Division 1. Note that the student needs to include his or her contact info in the letter and the coach’s info. In the vast majority of the cases, coaches do not want to talk to parents.
