Dog License California: Fill & Download for Free

I have four dogs and looking to move to the US (California or Florida) what are the regulations on this for home owners?I live in California and I own a dog, so I guess I'm sort of qualified to answer this. In California, all of your dogs will be required to have proof of rabies vaccination, and will require a license issued by your local town or city animal control office or its equivalent. Dog licenses are much less expensive for spayed/neutered dogs than for unaltered dogs. Some localities restrict the number of dogs that you can keep in a residential area, so check with the individual town or city before moving there. Local breed-specific legislation is banned by state law.

Well…. AS a blind person, I have had numerous funny incidents. Here are some of my responses to some of the silliest comments from “light-dependent people” (the sighted folks!). Note: sharp comebacks ONLY to those who are rude when asking!“Are you really blind?” “Yes, actually. Legally blind. Are you really stupid?”“How many fingers am I holding up?” “All of them. As to how many are folded, I couldn’t care less! How many fingers am I holding up?! (flipping them half a Peace sign).“Your dog can’t come in here!” “Not without me, she can’t! And I’m coming in!”“Your dog can’t come in here!” “She’s neutered. She can’t come at all.”“Does your dog bite?” “She hasn’t… today.”“Ma’am, there’s a blind man over there. He has a cane like yours. I think you should marry him.” (yes this actually happened!) “I would, but my wife would object.”A friend of mine told me this one! - “You aren’t really blind! You’re faking!” “True. I am faking it. By the way, would you mind holding these for me?” (handing the guy both her prosthetic eyes! She said he ran like a bunny!)“I love the way you people ski!” “Thanks! I’d skydive too, but it scares my dog.”“What’s that stick for?” “I’m a pool shark. Call me California Fats.”“Are you really blind?” “No, I just have one eye fewer than Snake Plissken.”“You aren’t really blind!” “You aren’t really smart.”And then there are the dog mis-identifications! My Guide Dog was a beautiful female Golden Retriever. Kind of hard to mistake for any other breed, but they tried! Ohhhh how they tried!“Is that a Chihuahua?” “Si!”“Oh, look at the beautiful Shepherd!” “Baaaaa!”“Ma’am, is that a pit-bull?” (What?!)She has been identified as just about every dog breed out there. But the BEST one was committed by the City of San Francisco Animal Control. They ran the shelter, and a veterinary program. We had used the vet program when we owned pet rats. I had taken my ratties in for treatment and they had a file. Later, I had my Guide Dog licensed with the city. The files got mixed. One year, I called to renew my dog license. The clerk on the telephone took the tag number down and asked “Is this for a male black Norwegian rat?” Stunned, I did manage a reply. “A RAT?!! OMG! The school told me she was a Golden Retriever! No WONDER the harness handle is so long!”Blindness can be FUN!

Flamethrower. Yep- legal in 49 states (California regulates them- but California regulates drinking straws)They are NOT illegal under Federal law. They are not even considered firearms (pun intended) No license required. No age limit. No background check. You can buy one thru the mail or on the internet. If you have been convicted of domestic violence you can’t have a gun, but you CAN get a flamethrower.Can’t remember seeing a sign that said a shopping mall was a flamethrower free zone. It does not have a bayonet lug or a thing that goes up over, and it doesn’t shoot 30 clips a second, so they seem to be ok. Suppose that is because they are not fully semi-auto.On the other hand, the neighbor’s dog stays in his OWN damned yard…..
