What are your expectations on the Ayyappanum Koshiyum Telugu remake by Pawan Kalyan?

Yesterday, movie groups in Facebook (which mostly talks about Malayalam Cinema) were filled with laughter and “it was expected" comments after a report regarding this remake came to light. Here's the report:The Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum, released earlier this year, soon turned out to be one of the most critically acclaimed, beloved and biggest hits. The movie starred Prithviraj Sukumaran as an ex-Army Havildar named Koshy Kurien, and Biju Menon as a police officer- Ayyappan Nair. Now, the film is all set to be remade in Telugu with Power Star Pawan Kalyan already having been zeroed in for playing the lead role. Ayyappanum Koshiyum Telugu remake, will be helmed by Saagar Chandra and bankrolled by Naga Vasmi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments. According to the latest report, the film Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake will have only one lead actor Pawan Kalyan and there is no place for the second lead actor. The sources say that Pawan Kalyan suggested the makers to make changes in the entire script of Ayyappanum Koshiyum . The other lead actor will be presented as the lead antagonist. The makers are also going to change the climax portions, considering Pawan Kalyan’s role. The creative and talented film maker Trivikram Srinivas will pen the dialogue version for this remake.Yes. They have reportedly decided to tear apart the soul of the original film. There was no clear-cut protagonist in AK and both the lead characters (Ayyappan Nair and Koshy Kurian) had equal importance. It is, without any shadow of doubt, one of the best films of 2020 in any language.Malayalam Text Translation: Ayyapanum Koshiyum. And now, the remake will tweak it to please the bankable actor roped in to play Ayyapan.15 years ago, Chandramukhi tweaked the script of Manichitrathazhu to give more importance to the lead actor and made a completely different product, which disappointed a lot of viewers.I have no positive expectations with this Telugu remake. If it decides to ditch the original script to glorify one actor and please him and his fanbase, I have nothing to look forward to. AK is already available on Amazon Prime with subtitles. You can go and watch it. It's pretty enjoyable.

Do people from Hong Kong prefer to identify as Chinese, British, or Hong Kongers?

This is not Chinatown in Islamabad. This is Hong Kong. Her name is Heina Rizwan Mohammad, and she is a Hongkonger. This is not a subtitled Pakistani news report. This is TVB in Hong Kong. Her name is Nabela Qoser, and she is a Hongkonger.I wonder if they would identify as Chinese or British or Hongkonger? For better or worse, Hong Kong is not simply a Chinese city, politically or cultural. It is a cosmopolitan society. There are many people that are ethnic Chinese and most of them would say we are Chinese 中國人 while implying the cultural definition, not necessarily the political one (most HK people generally avoid talking about politics). If they travel abroad, unless they have foreign passports, they are travelling as Chinese citizens. Not everyone has a HKSAR passport (above), but everyone has a HK ID card. Many Hong Kongers also travel to Mainland China for work or play, and they travel using the "Home Return Permit" because as the name suggests, they are returning to their ancestral homes. Only a small percentage of Hong Kong residents are actually native to HK before 1841 (start of colonization).Old version (L) and new version (R)For better or worse, there are significant cultural differences between Mainland China and Hong Kong, so while most Hong Kongers would say sure we are Chinese (cultural and/or politically) BUT it is usually followed by "I am from Hong Kong".Then there are people like these two lovely ladies, perhaps nth-generation South Asians descended from refugees of the (Indo-Pakistani) Partition of 1947. I met several South Asians in HK and many of them are from Sindh. Many of them speak Cantonese very well. I never talked politics with them but i think they would likely identify with Hong Kong more than Britain or Mainland China.

Each year, thousands of Chinese students study abroad. Does the Chinese government even worry or care that the vast majority of them will learn about Tiananmen Square?

I am a Chinese Millennial. I know for a fact that this generation in China are way more critical to the government than you know. But now, there is this saying among the netizens in China ‘越翻墙越爱国‘. Literal translation - The more they get over the Great Firewall, the more they love their country. It actually makes sense. The more educated you are, the more likely you will and the better you can question things. So not only will the overseas students get exposed to the large quantity of anti-China bias in the media, they will also dig into those more balanced sources of information. For example, I read CNN, Fox News (occasionally) and BBC, and at the same time, I am subscribed to RT America and Valuetainment (a brilliant guy explains things with thorough research evidence - here is the link to a video for you to take a look at: Who Can Beat Trump In 2020 Election?) among other Youtube Channels. I sometimes also triangulate what I learn from western media with mutilple news channels in Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong.Back to the point - Tiananmen Square. What happened in 1989 in Beijing is very similar to what is going on in Hong Kong as we speak. You have student ‘leaders’ who had acquired US visa (1989) or been admitted to US universities before it went real ugly.Think about it, that was in 1989. How difficult it was for an ordinary uni student to get a US visa back then? When the crackdown happened (which was most unfortunate indeed), none of those ‘leaders’ were on the square with the students! They started the starvation strike on the square, but the male student ‘leader’ Wuerkaixi was spotted eating in a restaurant while the innocent students were starving on the square. Chai Lin (a female student leader of the 1989 movement) explicitly said in an interview they (the student leaders) wanted bloodshed on the square but she would not be there when it happened because her name was ‘on a blacklist’ but she wanted to live (video attached below). If the video doesn’t work, please click on this link 10分鐘看懂六四真相(2016最新版). Unfortunately, the video is in Chinese and there is no English subtitle. As a matter of fact, multiple US news programs have reported that some certain American (government backed/funded) NGO is ‘heavily invested’ and ‘fueling’ the protests that are happening in Hong Kong - you know which one I’m talking about if you’re following enough discussions on this topic. Some sources also say that the same institution was behind the Tiananmen Square movement. And if you look at the tactics, they are too similar to not let ppl believe those reports.Personally, I am against all kinds of violence whether it’s from protesters or the government, and I would also argue that a forceful crackdown was necessary back then (in 1989), given what was at stake. I’ve also seen some alleged images of the aftermath, and my heart ached while looking at them. What happened happened. We have to learn from the history and make sure the same thing doesn’t happen again, but more importantly we have to move on.Edited on January 12, 2021:BTW, just look at how the US treats those pro-Trump protesters who visited the Capitol Hill in DC. It was fortunate that they were only there for one day. If an unrest at a similar scale as the Tiananmen Event took place there, do you really think the US government would go easy on those folks?Edited on January 29, 2021:Just realized YouTube took down that video citing ‘hate speech’. But that wasn’t hate speech. It was a documentary. Shame!

Comments from Our Customers

So I posted a bad review earlier due to the fact that dr fone software didn’t work for me, one of CocoDoc managers had contacted me and they issued a full refund which made me feel justice and I wanted to say thanks to them, therefore I give them a 4 star review, just make sure you read what the software is capable of before you make the purchase , so both sides can avoid the pain of this process, perhaps something I did wasn’t correct however I still feel that software should be simple to use and simply work, in any case , thanks again! All best
