PDF Editor FAQ

Why do people care so much about going to college to get a degree for a high-paying job?

Oh, I tried being successful with just a high school diploma. I thought I had it going, until seeing how I fared during a long and fruitless job search in 2009, I met an admissions counselor from DeVry University at a job fair. I earned my Associate of Applied Science in Electronics and Computer Technology in 2012, and my job prospects have much improved since. But I’m not done. I plan to enroll at Cuyamaca College in the Fall of 2019 for an Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems, with transfer credits. This is to better concentrate in my chosen field — Information Technology — and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems at San Diego State University. Learning is an adventure. Learning something you can apply in the real world, that can’t be taken away from you.

To what extent have you planned your career?

Thoroughly. But sometimes, the best laid plans of mice and men do no more than get laid. That’s what happens when you research but don’t seek advice from your seniors. I’ve planned to be many things ever since I was asked what did I want to be when I grew up. Currently, I am an Enterprise Service Desk Specialist and have the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ computer repair technician and Security+ information assurance technician certifications. As to plans, I plan to earn the CompTIA Network+ certification before year’s end, followed by Microsoft Certified Systems Associate (MCSA) certifications on the first half of 2019. Why so much certification training? Because I want to be a Systems Administrator. You can only be an Enterprise Service Desk Specialist for so long, same with being an End-User (Desktop) Support Technician; and their pay plateaus at a certain level. As it is, Information Technology keeps growing and so should its professionals. And I’m not stopping there! I plan to enroll at Cuyamaca College next fall, and earn an Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems with transfer to San Diego State University. This would be my second associate, as my AAS in Electronics and Computer Technology was very light on the computer aspect.Expensive? Yes. How am I going to pay? I plan to apply to every scholarship fund out there. Hey, I’m Hispanic, will be 55 by then, I have a disability, a veteran, working adult, returning student, and the hits keep on coming…Hewh! How’s that for planning? Pray for me while I pray for you.

How unrelated is it and how are people who have a job not related to their major doing now?

I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics and Computer Technology in 2012. Heavy on electronics, too light for my taste in computer technology. What saved me was that I was a part-time student with a full-time job as a field service computer repair technician. When the Information Technology (IT) company I was working for reorganized, I took a job as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET). Truth be told, my dedicated electronics skills atrophied. I swung back and forth between IT and BMET for the next 5 years, until my career counselor told me to stick to one field and stop switching.I picked Information Technology, and for the last 3 years, it’s been great. I had some help, however, such as an employer who channeled me through an IT Apprenticeship and security clearance. San Diego is a Navy/Marine Corps/border town, so there’s plenty of work for someone with a security clearance. Today, I’m studying for my second associate degree, an Associate of Science in Computer and Information Science - Networks, Security, and Systems Administration - Enterprise Systems Administration Emphasis, at Cuyamaca College.I’ve matured enough age- and career-wise to know where I want to go in life and career. After this degree, I’m planning for a Baccalaureate of Science in Information Technology. Why not? I’m looking at Universities as we speak. Again, full-time work and the ability to transfer skills from electronics to IT and BMET. Such juggling with a daughter graduating from high school and going to college herself is no picnic, but it was worth it!

Why Do Our Customer Select Us

My first encounter with the software was when I used it to convert a file from pdf to word and that was CocoDoc Finereader 11. Over the years, I upgraded and started using the OCR to convert images, scanned files, screenshot to any file format (pdf, doc, docx, txt etc) and this helps save time transcribing and also the recognition quality is great when it comes to recognizing languages and text font. I would strongly recommend this software to anyone.
