PDF Editor FAQ

Why are .380 bullets hard to find?

They’re not, at least where I live. My local big box store has lots of stock in reloading supplies and carries bullets from Berry’s, Hornady, Sierra Sports Master and Nosler in 9mm (which is what’s used on .380 cartridges). Box of 100 for $49 CAD ($39 USD).

What was the most hyped up video game that turned out to be a big disappointment?

There are two that jump immediately to mind:Sierra Sports NFL Football Pro 99 [1][1][1][1]Man, there’s a part of me that died the day that I installed this game. A friend and I had played the 95 version…96…97…and 98. We LOVED playing it, and we we would stay up late at night doing battle. At the time, there was nothing like these games; there was season-to-season progression for your players, free agency, drafts, retirement, even a hall-of-fame, all elements that Madden now has, but not nearly as well done, in my opinion. We had teams that had been going for over 20 seasons across the versions of the game, with a storied history of battles between them. So, when they announced the ’99 version, with 3D graphics and better gameplay, we were stoked. “Holy crap!” we thought, “It’ll have the game we’ve loved, plus Madden’s graphics and playability? SIGN ME UP!!!” I pre-ordered the game the first day it became available. Then I installed it. And watched as my high-end computer with a high-end graphics card simply died. I tried troubleshooting; the Windows error logs were absolutely filled with errors from the game. Sometimes the game would crash, sometimes it would cause my computer to die. A patch was released…it seemingly got worse. In the two weeks I had it installed, the game actually ran once, and the moment the kicker lined up for the opening kickoff it died. It was so fubar, the company issued a recall…AND WENT OUT OF BUSINESS.Majestic[2][2][2][2]Pretty much the first alternate reality video game, there was an incredible amount of potential to this game. You gave it any/all communication accounts (AOL Instant Messenger, cell#, email) and it put you in the middle of a conspiracy theory. The game consisted of several sections where you would essentially have to solve a puzzle of some sort that came to you via text message, email, telephone calls, or Instant Messenger chats.Sadly, what was billed as a cloak-and-dagger mystery adventure quickly devolved into just a bunch of silliness. The advertised “menacing phone calls” were just obvious recordings of a bad voice actor pretending to rant about something. The Instant Messenger bots were horrible, so much so that the people taking part made it a challenge to come up with the most ridiculous chat sessions; I generally had cybersex with the people giving me hints:Rebecca: “You must find Dr Manning!”Me: “Yeah? And what should I do with him?”Rebecca: “I knew you would help me.”Me: “Anything for you…baby…now, tell me what you’re wearing.”Quite honestly, the ONLY good part about the game was when I created an Instant Messenger account in a fake name and contacted a buddy who was playing…he assumed it was part of the game, so when I began accurately discussing things about him that Majestic didn’t know about, it freaked him the hell out. I even began talking about things I’d sent him in text messages, so he thought that Majestic had begun hacking into his text messages. I honestly don’t think I ever revealed that to him…sorry Joey!Footnotes[1] Front Page Sports Football - Wikipedia[1] Front Page Sports Football - Wikipedia[1] Front Page Sports Football - Wikipedia[1] Front Page Sports Football - Wikipedia[2] Majestic (video game) - Wikipedia[2] Majestic (video game) - Wikipedia[2] Majestic (video game) - Wikipedia[2] Majestic (video game) - Wikipedia

My 15 year old son plays basketball and he told me his coach gave him 15 pushups for fooling around. How can I stop his coach from abusing him like this in the future?

I can’t fathom a parent thinking 15 push-ups is abuse. It’s exercise..during sports. If your kid can’t knock out 15 push-ups at 15 years old without whining to mommy about his coach being a big meanie than maybe he shouldn’t be doing sports. Have him finish out the season (unless you wanna raise a quitter) and then suggest he doesn’t try out for the next season. I also hope he has no aspirations to join the military, because he will be doing way more than 15 even if he wasn’t the one to mess up.
