Because of sex trafficking, they have been treated like property.The act of paying for a service creates a mentality that you are paying for a commodity, where she is being bought, sold, handed over, returned, used, and thrown at the man's pleasure.Some victims are abducted, while others are runaways lured out of poverty. Women were, and in many cultures still are, perceived as inferior to men, and therefore, are meant to be dominated and controlled, ultimately making them property, or a man's possession.The influence of mainstream media tends to create a climate where exploitation is tolerated and even encouraged. This is seen by advertisements, calendars, Hollywood movies and magazines, billboards, the list just goes on and on. Like objects, half-naked bodies are displayed on walls for marketing purposes.Sexualizing women and using them as objects, clickbait and sales disgusts me.XxX

I used to advertise on craigslist but got terrible people most of the time. Now, I use airbnb. I like that they get the money from the guests ahead of time as it’s awkward asking people for money, somewhat vet the guests (I still do it on my end too), have a good calendar, an excellent website where I can post my rules. I like when a guest arrives, the following morning, I’ll get an email telling me that airbnb has wired money into my account. And, most people are on their best behavior when staying here. I’ve only had to kick out a few people in my 5 or so years of being a host. All were smokers.
