From time to time I answer these guys and troll around just for fun. This week I was contacted by a scammer who proved to be so entertaining it definitely takes the cake. I decided to post the exchange here for your entertainment.I have not touched up the emails, they were copy/pasted as is.It's a bit long. OK which base in Scotland was he stationed at? Type the answer into Google and see if that base even exists. Demand to have a phone call with him and ask him what part of America he was originally from? Then ask for his ZIP code and later see if that information matches his city. If you cant reach him by phone then it looks very suspicious.Lots of people are scammed like this because they don’t observe a few basic precautions. Type the name he uses into Google and see if anyone else has been scammed by the same person. It is my guess that your man is now currently stranded in Lagos, Nigeria for a few days. The day before he is supposed to leave to meet you he will claim he has been robbed and can you send him some money by Western Union.If he is going to waste your time then you can waste his time too. When he asks you to send him money by Western Union then lie to him and say you sent him money. He will waste time going to Western Union to collect nothing and may be deterred from preying on other people.
