What's the best way to learn American Sign Language in Boston?

I agree..Northeastern's ASL program is fantastic. That's where I learned.I would also recommend DEAF, Inc. in Allston. They use the same curriculum (same textbook) as Northeastern. They have culturally Deaf teachers. They have 5 separate classes (ASL 1-5). And I think they have additional fingerspelling classes.Plus DEAF Inc. is a great Deaf-run agency that does a lot to serve d/Deaf/HH/DeafBlind/lateDeafened people in Boston. It's a great environment in which to learn. And they're cheaper than taking a college level class. :)DEAF Inc's website is currently down, which is annoying. You can find them on Facebook. Or message me, I'll give you info...**Edited to say - I should add. If you want a serious ASL education (and you can afford it), then you should do a college level class at Northeastern. There's no substitute for that. Their teachers are trained and certified with years of experience, their program is accredited by various institutions. Many many professional interpreters in Boston have come out of the Northeastern program. DEAF Inc is definitely more relaxed, more "community-based". But still, DEAF Inc has solid teachers and they're a great agency. It's a unique place. They've been a big part of the Boston Deaf community for ever. So I think they're a great value, when you compare the price of the classes. :)

What are some of the best ways to find people to practice American Sign Language with online?

Brianna, there's no such interactive website, as far as I know. You gotta bite the bullet: do it in REAL TIME. That's the best way.If you're still attending Wellesley College, here are Boston-area Deaf-related resources:DEAF, Inc. (they have ASL classes as well as Deaf events)Boston ASL

How can I find a deaf club in my area?

Garland, not every area in America has a Deaf club. The number of Deaf clubs have dwindled over the years, and very few American cities still have Deaf clubs.Since you live in Philadelphia…you’ll have to rely on Deaf organizations and keep an eye on their announcements for events/get-togethers. By the way, my use of the term ‘Deaf’ also automatically includes ‘hard of hearing’ and ‘late-deafened,’ just so you know. Here we go…-Philadelphia ASL social group: Philadelphia American Sign Language Social Group (Philadelphia, PA)(this one is open to all…if you’re a novice signer/hearing, this one is your best bet, because this was set up specifically to give such people opportunities to practice their signing.)-Not sure if this is still active, but worth checking into: Silent Athletic Club(this is more of a Deaf hangout…not sure how open they are to helping hearing people practice their signing.)-If you’re LGBTQ and Deaf, check out Philadelphia Lambda Club of the Deaf(Not sure how open this group is to hearing LGBTQs, though…if you’re hearing, please ask first before attending.)-If you’re Black and Deaf, check out Philadelphia Chapter of Black Deaf Advocates(If you’re hearing, please ask first before attending.)-This organization often provides ASL events: Deaf-Hearing Communication Centre, Inc. (open to all)-If you need ASL classes: Community ASL ClassesAnd if you’re Deaf, join the Pennsylvania Society for the Advancement of the Deaf (PSAD)…it’s a state advocacy organization by/of/for Deaf people, and it’s an affilate of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD). PSAD periodically has events, as well as biennial conferences. This is NOT where you can go to practice your signing. http://www.psadweb.org/
