What is something you want to "get off your chest"?

My mom always instructed me"ladko se zyada baat nahi karni "(don’t talk to boys a lot)but how could I do that, I grew up with my two brothers . In my class I mostly talked to boys, just because I thought they were more well- behaved than the girls of my class.Just a couple of months before I was on my way to my village (just me and my father), it was 3 :00 am and our train was yet to arrive but 30 minutes passed and still the train didn't come. All around people were sleeping on the platform, some were awake waiting for the train. My father instructed me to stay on the platform & said he will go and check the status of the train and will return in a while (we were on platform 9, so the station was a long way).In the mean time the train arrived, people started boarding the train & my father hadn't returned yet. I got too worried. I wasn't carrying my mobile with me. Just right to me, I saw 3 boys (Maybe college students, they were waiting for their train too) I just went to them and said…"Excuse me, can I make a call to my father, our train has arrived & he hasn't come""Is your father some where here " the guy standing in the middle said."Ya" I replied and within seconds he handed over his mobile to me."Take it, call via sim 2"I tried 2 times, he didn't receive it. I got even more worried."What happened ?" the boy asked."My father is not answering the call "I handed him his phone back. He also tried again. I was just staring at the stairs. His friends were now in the train & he was standing right next to me, calling again & again, waiting for my father to come.I suddenly exclaimed"Oh, he's come, thank God!""Who? The one in the brown jacket ?? "I said "yes!"My father got a little worried when he saw me talking to the guy (I was just telling him that my father has come and he can join his friends). Coming closer to me, my father asked me"what happened ?"( being little over protective)& I had to explain him the whole incident, he checked his mobile: 6 missed calls . He just smiled looking at him & we rushed to board the train. I forgot to thank him. I looked back but he was gone .Everyone whom I told this story said I shouldn't have talked to those "boys" because no one knows what would have happened after all it was 3 in the night…!This isn’t the kind of news you would read aboutwhat I mean to say :If there is a negative side we also have a positive side making a balance. Just because some negative news is highlighted doesn't mean positive one ceases to exist. Positive side exists , they do whatever they can to help you, they would do it silently without even your knowledge . They don't need spotlights on them . But they do exist .Future CAs

What is the best train trip you have ever taken?

So this was when I was going for a college trip to Manali and four of us had our tickets booked in A.C. And all the four of us had our seats in literally different boxes of the train. I got a seat wherein I reached my place and found a guy sitting in black Pure Islam attire. I started talking to him and he said he can’t understand Hindi so I went ahead and explained him my situation that we four friends have got different seats and if they could manage. He said that he is with 2 of his friends, and he will have to ask them once they are back as they have got down to buy something. I was waiting for them and to my surprise, I got to see these 2 absolutely handsome young man.To switch seats with them would mean not getting to share a good 24 journey with them but still I kept my calm and focused to bring my friends here, so I approached them and one of them was instantly attracted to the way I talked, and easily convinced and the other one was quite and shy and apprehensive. I also explained them that switching seats with us would mean that those 3 will be separated which I did’nt want so I asked them if all of us can sit together over here and at night if they agree 2 of them can go to our berths. Thanks to those so kind and co operative boys. We started then, and to our surprise we became friends in just half and hour from there and people around us started thinking we are friends from before and 7 of us are traveling together. We played killer detective, truth and dare, never have I ever, had our meals together . A typical “yeh jawani he deewani” train journey. We laughed at the top of our voices so much so that other people got irritated. We slept at 2:30 that night. Woke up the other day and started discussing our ideas about life and playing games. One of the best set of guys I met that day, so respectful, decent and kind. I was saving the best for the last- You would not want to know who those guys were? -"3 Boys from Kabul, Afghanistan studying in Andhra university at Vizag." The Best part about those 24 hrs were- Breaking the barriers of Religion, nationality we just enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. “Our souls literally united across the country beyond Bars.” I am still connected to them and I am attaching photos below from that memorable 24hrs journey.

What is one piece of simple advice that actually changed your life?

I recently sat next to a gorgeous woman in a flightI was travelling from Bangalore to Bombay and the flight was delayed. So while I was waiting at the airport, surrounded mostly by aged couples and sleepy travellers, my eyes suddenly met those of an exquisite beauty. She was probably 5’9, was dressed in a mix of pink trek-wear and nightsuit (I can’t remember clearly) and was shuffling through novels in a nearby bookshop.Gorgeous woman.Books.You bet violins were already playing in the back of my head.I casually walked up to the bookstore, trying to make it look cool to anyone looking at me, and started dabbling in the opposite rack than hers (pun totally not intended). If I remember correctly, she was shuffling through the pages of The Ministry of Utmost Happiness and maybe she caught me glancing at it a few times that she spoke up.Reader Gal: You like to read?Divyansh: (Looking all around and controlling the urge to say duh) Umm… yeah. You too?Reader Gal: Yes. Maybe we should be reading then instead of staring....Burn.Burn of the highest caliber was served. The gorgeous woman simply turned around and moved a little away, leaving me a little red.I don’t know why but I ended up buying that very book. Arundhati Roy’s prose is godly, completely opposite from her political opinions.Call it fate or luck or co-incidence, I sat at the window seat while she occupied the aisle one in the same row.A middle-aged Uncle was the China wall between me and my love though, and he was there to just sleep— he had his neck pillow on, a hand ready to unbuckle the belt as soon as plane was airborne, and scratching his pot-belly with the other one.Anyway, as soon as the plane was up, I took out that novel and turned the reading lights on. I think she’d have seen it, so just a few moments later, she asked the uncle to switch seats. He looked at me grumpily once but her sweet voice would have melted the hardest of hearts.Reader Gal: (as soon as she switched seats)Hi.Divyansh: Hey!Reader Gal: You bought that book.Divyansh: Yeah!Reader Gal: How is it?Divyansh: Just started it actually. But in the seven lines I’ve read, I felt the urge to open dictionary at least ten times.Reader Gal: (Smiling) Yea, I can understand.Divyansh: Yeah!Reader Gal: Hmm… yea. After a few minutes of silence.Reader Gal: So why do you read?Divyansh: Be..cause I like it.Reader Gal: Yes. But why? I do it to feel what these characters feel.Divyansh: Wow. That is actually a great perspective to look at it.Reader Gal: Sorry. Which one?Divyansh: The… umm… entire feeling what the characters feel.Reader Gal: Yes. But with me it is literal. I actually can’t have feelings.Divyansh: What?Reader Gal: Yea. My mind cannot process empathy and a bunch of other feelings.Divyansh: For real?Reader Gal: Yea. It’s with me since childhood.Divyansh:Reader Gal: My doctor recommended that I read good books during my teens to train myself with responding to others and understanding the appropriate emotions.Divyansh: (amused) Is that why you were rude to me back in the bookshop at the airport?Reader Gal: When?Divyansh: Back at the Bangalore airport. In that bookshop.Reader Gal: I… umm I didn’t visit any bookshop at the airport.Divyansh: Wha… you did. I saw you reading that book, this very book. And you told me to scuttle, more or less.Reader Gal: Umm… I didn’t. I’m literally just meeting you for the first time.Divyansh:Reader Gal:Divyansh:Reader Gal:Divyansh: Wow. You’re totally messing with me, aren’t you?Reader Gal:Divyansh: You literally started this conversation by asking that I really bought this book.Reader Gal: Did I?Divyansh: Yes. You did.Reader Gal: Which book are you talking about?Divyansh: (Pointing with fingers) This. The Ministry of Utmost Happiness by Arundhati Roy.Reader Gal: Wait! But you’re reading Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie.Divyansh: Yeah right (Turning the book to throw the cover at her face, only to be shocked to see Satanic Verses written on it)Reader Gal:Divyansh: This isn’t happening. I didn’t buy this book.Reader Gal:Divyansh: Satanic Verses is banned in India. It doesn’t sell on airports.Reader Gal:Divyansh: (flipping out) What the eff is happening? At this point, the girl was simply staring into my brown eyes with her hazel ones; a strange vibe of something sinister crawling over her face.Divyansh: I didn’t buy this book at the airport, I swear.Reader Gal: Umm… you were at the airport?Divyansh: Woman. If you have to fly in a plane, you catch it from an airport.Reader Gal: Uhhh… we are not in a plane Divyansh.Divyansh:I laughed, only to flip out as I looked to my left and instead of a classic oval window of an aircraft, I found myself looking out of a cafe’s window.Divyansh: Seriously. What the eff is happening?Reader Gal:Divyansh: What am I doing here? Wait! How do you even know my name?Reader Gal: What non-sense are you blurting. I’m your girlfriend.Divyansh:Girlfriend: You’re not gonna bail on me again, I like this cafe.Divyansh: What the… I was in a plane.Girlfriend: That was two days ago.Divyansh: No I was just there. Reading a book. And then I started talking to you. And I don’t even know you. What the hell is happening?Girlfriend: Is this some new kind of breakup technique? Or more of your I can’t feel emotions, my brain is missing the empathy center non-sense.Divyansh: Wait! You said that. In the plane.Girlfriend: I never said that, and I haven’t been in a plane in a month. Stop fucking with me Divyansh. We are barely spending time together and you wanna bail out on this?Divyansh: I… I… Wha… I don’t know your name.Girlfriend: That’s all the insult I can take. Eff off. Call me when you grow up.Divyansh:Girlfriend: I’m leaving.Divyansh: Okay!Girlfriend: For real.Divyansh: Okay!Girlfriend:Divyansh: What was your name, again? The girlfriend slapped me, and all of a sudden, I found myself in the plane again.Divyansh: What just happened?Reader Gal: You kinda slept.Divyansh: Wait! You’re my girlfriend?Reader Gal: (Feeling pity) Nope. But full marks for the confidence.Divyansh: But you just… and I just… and I didn’t buy Satanic Verses.Reader Gal: Of course, isn’t it banned in India?Divyansh: I JUST EFFING SAID THAT.Reader Gal: Are you what… delusional?Divyansh:Reader Gal:Divyansh:Reader Gal:Divyansh: Slap me!Reader Gal: What?Divyansh: Slap me!Reader Gal: I think I should go back to my seat.Divyansh: Hey, please, slap me.Reader Gal looks around for a second in confusion, before lifting her delicate palm and smacking it on my cheek. All of a sudden, I found myself at the airport again. Waiting in the lobby, staring at this beautiful woman in the book shop ahead. What’s one simple advice that changed my life?Someone asked me to start sharing my fiction on Quora years ago.If I had been overprotective of the stuff that I was writing and not started sharing them on the internet, I’d have not been living the life that I’m living right now.A little step of trusting people on Quora with my stories. And their love changed everything😇
