PDF Editor FAQ

Why is Blade Runner considered a great movie?

Why I like Bladerunner. For a film that is meant to be about Androids, it’s a film that tells a very human story. It is a film that evolves around the big questions. Why do we have to die?Why do we live? Why do we suffer? Why do we feel such joy? What happens to us?Is there a God?What is the purpose to it all?Why am I here? Why?At times in our lives we all get so close to perfection, so close to understanding these questions, yet still with all our knowledge it slips away.Imagine if we knew when we were to die “expire”. The androids in Bladerunner were born with all the basics on how to function but in their short four years they get a brief interlude of life and a chance to learn how to live; a chance to ask these big questions, to think, to be. Us humans get a more time but like the androids it’s too often not enough. There are many ways this film can be discussed and judged, be it the sci-fi originality, movie sets, or film noir atmosphere. I’ve chosen to judge this film on its universal stories and message, this to me is what sets this film apart from others and allows its themes and ideas to be judged outside of it’s sci-fi set.In Bladerunner, there are many stories within stories, each at a different level.Disclaimer: The following is my reason to why I like this film.Additional Disclaimers:- I refer to Buddha and Jesus within this document :)- quotes from the film are in “italics and quotes”.- quotes are based from my memory and hence might be wrong----Each character complements the others. Each character is unique in their ways.Brief character overview: -Deckard.The hunter. The loner Deckard, his mission (purpose?) retire (kill?) the replicants."Shakes? Me too. I get them bad, it goes with the business."Roy Batty. The dove.“the prodigal son”.Roy Batty (the Nexus 6) is a very similar character to Deckard yet plays a different role. Roy and his team of allies have a death sentence and are in search for “why?”Roy is a replicant, a commando unit.Tyrel says to him “we’ve made you the best we could”.Roy is the pinnacle of human achievement; he is stronger, faster, and smarter than even the best humans. Yet he like all the replicants (?), he has been made with a limited lifespan.Roy says to Chew (his) the Eye Designer. "Chew, if only you could see what I've seen with your eyes!"JF Sabastian. The mouse.JF has the same problem as the replicants; he will die too soon. JF will die due to disease, a curse of god. He is too sick to migrate, and has no (human) friends. However, he does not fight his death and lives simply even though he too is a genius."I MAKE friends"Tyrel. The Pope. An Emperor. The “God of the bio mechanics”.Tyrel walks and dresses like a pope (heavy robes). The only time in the whole movie the sun is seen is at his apartment. He lives at the very top of the pyramid. Quoted by many as “A genius”.His human intellect is extraordinary.Rachael.The unicorn. The most human character and the most unique replicant (maybe?). Only when proved not to be human does she discover who she really is? Tyrel referred to her as “different”. Perhaps this means she has no expiry date as Deckard hopes.Bryant and GaffThe puppet masters. The two police officers in charge of Deckard.Controlling Deckard to do the dirty work.Gaff is always on the scene after Deckard has “retired” a replicant– how – why?LeonJust another common replicant pawn. Symbolizing the average man."Nothing's worse than having an itch you can never scratch!" BANG!“do you know what it’s like to live in fear”Each character has clarity in their strengths and their flaws, each has dependencies on the others. Each character is at times equally desperate.Throughout the film it clearly shows the pinnacles of human genius in the reality of an unfit world.Human achievement is seen through out the film in many different ways. The obvious examples beingTyrel. God. "the god of biomechanics".Roy, Rachael, Deckard - “Nexus 6 - more human than human"Roy's achievements "the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long"Yet still despite this brilliance and these grand accomplishmentsEarth's is a messCorporations still rule,People are sickCharacters are used by each other.Gifts are lost though the killing of Roy, Tyrel, and JF.There are many stories within the Bladerunner. What's real? What's not?How do I measure my worth? How is life judged?Who am I? Why am I here? Why will I die? What is my purpose? The struggle with why. What's real? What's not?Is Deckard a replicant?Deckard is hard to understand. Deckard the loner.Like many of the humans in the film he is un-emotional, while the replicants are "More Human than Human" (motto of the Tyrell Corportion) and in fact show more emotions than all the humans in the film. For the most part Deckard almost has no will of his own. He repeatedly questions himself and even if he is a replicant. He doesn’t even believe in himself.Towards the end of the film Deckard is compared to "one of the little people".Rachael was human until it was proved she wasn’t. Only then did she know. Is Deckard the same?Only those who are inferior need to prove that they are not inferior, in a similar context Replicants are not replicants until they discover they are.Bryant says there were "six replicants, three male, three female", and that one was fried "trying to get into the Tyrel building" he doesn’t specify the sex. This leaves one replicant that could be either male or female. We suspect Deckard.Rachael asks Deckard “have you ever taken the test yourself”?Gaff implies Deckard is a replicant in two statements"you did a MAN's job, sir"and"too bad she won't live but then again who does"There is also a unicorn reference that implies Gaff knows Deckards dreams/memories and that these are then implants (Directors Cut). (Deckard dreams of the unicorn).Through the constant questioning of oneself as a replicant, the characters fear themselves.Fear of one's self is a constant message. It shows that no matter what, you cannot hide from your own self, where do you hide when you are running from yourself . Can one change one’s nature? How can one have so little faith in ones self that they even question the very fabric of "I think therefore I am"?The replicants know they are alive. The humans fear they might not be.At the end of the film Roy (who doesn’t suspect that Deckard is a replicant (if he is), see Deckard as just another pawn."I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe" i.e. the little people - ordinary humans. He unlike many of the humans has lived more of a life than most humans ever will. He has “Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tannhäuser Gate”, he has killed, he has loved, he has lived in fear, he has felt like a God, and he has been a pawn. “All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain”.Bladerunner addresses fundamental questions we all ask, like do I make a difference? Do I have control over my own fate? Do I matter? To prove yourself is not an easy task. In order to prove that one really does exist sometimes one needs to start questioning ones existence, or to have to fight for one’s life, or protect what one loves. It takes a lot to say with confidence "I am".Bladerunner shows how easy it is to live a lie, to do what you are told, and raises the question in each of us, is our life a lie, is the system, our system that we live in a lie, are we pawns? have we been living blind?Buddha theology often questions if dreams are dreams or reality, asking are we so sure that we are not in a dream now?Do we, can we, make a difference? At the end of our lives, no matter what we do, our moments will be lost like tears in the rain. Yet at the same time, if we live a full life we will shape others. How do I measure my worth? How do you measure worth?Bladerunner is a story about achieving the extraordinary, to live at one's absolute limit. To live at one's absolute threshold.Deckard lives a bleak existence. He hardly shows even will to live. Roy has lived so much “he has burned so very brightly”In all of us there is a will to live, this is usually obvious in most people. In all of us there is still the will do die, it is not as obvious in most of us yet it is still there.Until Deckard starts to question himself and depends and falls for Rachael, it is almost hard to see his will to live. He does his job that is all, he is unemotional, he has little will to live.Roy and the Replicants on the other hand show great will to live. They will stop at nothing for their survival.Only after Deckard finds Rachael and questions himself, only by looking at himself, does he find the strength to live, and the will and want to live. Only in the final scene do we see his true strength and will. Only when Deckard becomes the slave, living in fear, does he run and fight faster than he ever had the strength (will) to do before.Only towards the end does Deckard cling for life. This is finally displayed best in the final scene where he holds himself by one hand with broken fingers, only here does he see “what it's like to be a slave, to live in fear". Only here do we finally see his true will to live. He uses ever ounce strength he has to escape death from his killer. The final scene Deckard is functioning at his absolute physical and mental threshold.Roy on the other hand, is angrier than ever, after seeing his love (Tris) die to Deckard’s hand, his only partner in the same situation as himself.Only as he reaches the final moments of his life and seeing Deckard’s will to live do his actions change and we see his enlightenment. In the final scene he saves Deckard from death, at first we think this is to continue his torture “game” he is playing with Deckard. This in fact is not the case.Just as Deckard now has the passion to live, Roy finally has found the acceptance of his death, we see how ready his is, we see his will to die. The two character’s motivations almost swap at once.Roy finally has understood life; he has understood that life ends in death, and he has renounced.Confucius said once, "Learn how to live and we will know how to die." This can be interpreted as "Learn how to live, and we will know how to die; learn how to die, and we will know how to live."We see that in his final moments of life he has actually reached enlightenment. He speaks about his life and in the beauty he has seen and the deeds he has done, in his moments. He says "All those moments will be lost in time", it is with purpose that he does not refer to himself or his death in these lines.Roy saves Deckard at the last moment this is symbolic to Jesus dying for those who persecute him. And Roys final line "All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain." ends with "Time to die."The "time to die" shows his final acceptance of death. The dove he cradles then fly’s away poetically symbolizing that the world goes on.Buddha said "Life is but a bridge, not a stopping place."In that moment of emptiness real knowledge arrives.Buddha says "To reach enlightenment one has acceptance of both life and death."Likewise, one of the wisdoms of Buddha is in his reply to "How do you measure the length of a man's life? By the breath."This is the essence of Bladerunner. It symbolizes that every moment is precious, every moment counts and matters, a second closer to your expiry date. If everything is nothing, if you’re whole life is nothing (or a lie), then still that moment you exist in is all that matters.Tomorrow you will not be here, the next moment you will not be here, this is the only moment you have. 'Now' is the only time you have and 'here' is the only place you have. That's the whole message of great masters such as Buddha, and Jesus.--Who am I? Why am I here? Why will I die? What is my purpose? The struggle with whyThere is a strong sense of fatalism; we are doomed no matter what. There is constant loss in the deaths of the replicants, Roy, Tyrel, and JF. The loss of genius in Roy, Tyrel, JF, and even with Decker. In a sense its message is similar to that of many religions (eg Buddhism) i.e. one must understand that nothing matters.Bladerunner shows that although one can achieve the extraordinary, one cannot change the impossible, one strives to be something but one is nothing.Roy beautiful, strong, perfect, white blonde hair, the dove. “The best that can be made”. A pinnacle of human achievement.Roy constantly asks Why. Despite everything he knows, despite everything he has studied, despite his intelligence (even beating Tyrel in Chess), despite all his achievements. He cannot change his nature, he cannot change his fate. He cannot accept that this is not an option.Tyrel says to Roy "The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long" - "and you have burned so very, very brightly, Roy." Life is not measured in hours but by accomplishments. When Roy meets the genius Tyrel he says "It's not an easy thing to meet your maker”. Tyrel is literally the creator or God to the replicants, and since replicants are more human than human he is literally made equal to God.Roy says "I've done . . . questionable things . . . but nothing that the God of biomechanics wouldn't let you into heaven for."Roy asks why he has a limited life span. Tyrel says he could not be made to live longer, we suspect this could be a lie as anyone who could create Roy could surely fix this problem.Roy yells "I want more life, fucker!" sounding like "I want more life, father!" (on purpose I believe). The limited lifespan therefore was more likely done on purpose although this goes against Tyrel’s statement of “more human than human”, so perhaps he has fixed this flaw in Rachael.Roy created by a human, literally becomes the archangel, he kills his god, he turns against his creator. By doing so he at this point he gives up hope and knows he cannot change his fate.Tyrel, one of the greatest genius mankind has ever known. He dies to the fate of his creation; which/who outsmarted him (in both Chess and in getting into his apartment). Tyrel did not know his own limitations.Like a chess game, one by one, the pieces go. First Tyrel plays the game with JF Sebastian, and then Roy takes over.J.F. Sebastian’s pieces are birds – as he makes toys/animals/friends.Tyrel’s are people – as he makes people.Pawns are taken one by one, this is how the replicants are taken out.Bladerunner says something I want to say but don't know the words. It says something I don't understand yet.Despite the strong sense of fatalism; we are doomed no matter what. We are also told to seize the day, to live in every single moment. We are capable of the extraordinary.Bladerunner shows us that there is more out there, and despite not being able to change our fate, we should still aim to grasp further, to try to prove one can make a difference despite perhaps knowing one cannot.Bladerunner reminds us, that we are human, flawed and perfect, we are capable of genius, we are capable of the extraordinary, we need not be pawns and waste our life following orders without thought. “I think therefore I am”, this is what makes us human, this gives us the choice to live a life so bright that we can rival our very creator! But where we can’t is with time, for no matter what, our time is limited, our moments will end one day when we too expire.Reference:1)Script:Blade Runner: The Script2) Chess Game Trivia:The chess game between Tyrell and Sebastian/Roy uses the conclusion of a game played between Anderssen and Kieseritzky, in London in 1851. This is one of the most famous and brilliant games ever played, and is universally known as "The Immortal Game". 3*

What is the biggest lesson that life has taught you?

Welcome to LIFE 101 :(Looks do matter even if some people say they don’t, they do, they are the starting point of every relationship (As well as personality)When, Where, How and to Whom you’re born impacts your life a lot. It’s nice to think the opposite though. Many people you thought were your friends could end up becoming complete strangers to you. It hurts thinking about it.As a child you have the time and the energy but not the money. As an adult you have the energy and the money but not the time. As a senior you have the time and the money but not the energy.‘Life goes on, Long after the thrill of living is gone’~John Mellencamp.A really horrible person who’s a dick could come and fuck your life up, live like nothing’s happened, get rich/successful and die happily, in fact being truly evil and horrible greatly increases your odds of leading a happy life.Eventually in life you’ll be forgotten by the ones who you called you’re closest friends and even if you do remember them, they might not remember you at all."They say you die twice. One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time.”~Banksy. Ever since I read it, it has been stuck in my head. This life you’re in right now. The one you’re complaining about, the one you hate, the one you wish was different, the one you wish was the same as your friends, this is the same life you’re going to miss when you get older and you won’t even realise that the best part of your lives were spent complaining about how shit it was until it’s too late.Everything runs on money which means if you don’t have enough to afford the simplest of things, you won’t even have a chance to enjoy life. Life is basically a game. A game where even breathing costs money.Loving someone with everything you have doesn’t mean that they will love you back even if you try to make them. I’m at this position right now and it fucking hurts knowing that he won’t love me back.We can’t all be an astronaut when we ‘grow up’.No matter how hard you try, you can’t always be there to protect those you love dearly.A group of squad is not called a squad. I know how you’re feeling right now after reading this. My heart broke as well.Being good doesn't mean good things will happen to you. Conversely, being bad doesn't mean that bad things will happen to you. Even if you do believe karma is real, it might not necessarily happen to everyone and worse than that, very frequently the good are punished for being good and the bad are rewarded for being bad.‘Life isn’t fair, Get used to it’~Bill Gates. Most likely you will lose what makes you the most happy in life. And it won't ever come back.Life is short, make the most out of it. You Only Live Once.Life is like a play you’re performing in school. Except that everyone has forgotten the lines, forgotten where they stand, how they act, what they do. Basically no one has any idea what the fuck is going on. Sometimes it can be a good thing, sometimes it can be a bad thing.Everyone you love and everything you know will eventually no longer exist. The majority of the people in the world are stuck in the wrong job. And only a negligible few would realize their innermost dreams. It's nigh impossible that you will ever meet the "perfect" person for you. You will probably never meet more than 0.01% of the total world's population. Statistically, you will live out your lives with someone who is a sub-optimal pairing for you while your true soulmate is out there with his/her sub-optimal partner.Karma is a concept we've made up to console ourselves. There is no cosmic retribution for evil people. Most evil people - terrorists, corrupt politicians and bureaucrats, mob bosses etc - live out their entire lives in luxury and good people struggle each day of their lives just to survive.Everything you have learnt, done, created, or earned, will come to naught the day you die. Everyone who knew you directly will be dead in at most a 100 years. You will slowly become just a memory, and that too a fading one. You will only exist as a photograph or a blog post or a book you wrote or a song you uploaded. And one day, someone accidentally erases the hard drive that contains it. Or the server where it was stored crashes. And poof! All traces of your ever being alive vanishes.Unless you do something really good or something really evil, no one will remember you after a few years. And that too will be irrelevant. No one would have the faintest idea about you - your desires, your lusts, your misgivings. For them you will only be a name and/or a face.It will all end one day - No matter who you are, how mighty or resourceful your position is, or howsoever intelligent and positive you are, you die one day. All your movements cease to be, the blood stops circulating, and you change from a person to a dead body that needs an almost immediate disposal. And within days of that happening, you become a bookmark in history, that too for just a few years. It all ends then. There will be a day in the future when your name will be taken one last time and your face and deeds remembered for the last time.Nature does not care - Nature / Prakriti / The Universe / The Multiverse ... no matter what name you use, it just does not care what you think (of it). Nature moves with its own rhythm, bound in its own cycles, driven by its own instincts, and your presence or absence hardly matters. And we are tied inside it, and despite being blessed with the powers of analysing and rationalising its presence, cannot escape its clutches. It's a state of permanent bondage for most, unless spiritually freed. There are very few true friends - No matter what you do for others, the number of people who stand by you in your toughest moments can be in lower single digits! This can be rationalised by the Law of Karma spanning multiple lives, which indeed seems to be working for many. The die once cast, rarely changes - The early years decide a person's mental makeup and constitution. That, in turn, decides his behaviour and attitude towards others in later years. Sadly, not even a tiny fraction of mankind can truly change their inner selves in later years. This - after all the centuries of what wise men have taught humanity. The best gets recycled - The deep philosophy of India of the earlier centuries simply finds no takers in the modern world, despite its wondrous depth and intellectual gravity. For an Indian, a very sad thing is that unless certified by the West, nothing is respected in India by today's educated people.Homemakers don't get counted even as servants - The hundreds of millions of homemakers (housewives) do not even get counted towards contributors to the nation's GDP. But servants' output does get counted. The economist who first devised this surely had a troubled childhood!Lack of sense of humour - It is amazing to find the rare people who have an acute sense of humour. Most do not. And that robs them of so many moments of pleasure derived from self-deprecating or intellectual humour. The tastiest morsels are the deadliest - The tastiest food to be had does the most damage to our bodies! Curse those genes. The internet has you - Most of us do not use the internet now, it uses us. We just cannot get away from it. The machines are coming ... no ... they have arrived!Innocence is over - It is difficult to believe an innocent person these days! It all seems so made up. In most cases it usually is.Quora doesn't let you delete the edits - Aah! For most users, the daily sadness comes tumbling upon them, when their warts and limitations are so grossly visible to mankind just on a click. It is never coming back again. Lost love, time, memories, faded feelings, innocence, your age. Some people are are never meant to be in your life. No matter how much you want them to.People vanish, memories don't.Lonely people are the ones who crave most for attention.Sometimes the person we want most are the ones we are better without.Forever is overrated. No one lives happily ever after.Drinking is at times the last gift from a man's first love.Somewhere between infatuation and lust, love is lost.If you have a smiling face with a crying heart then, you're finally growing up.Once you feel you're avoided by someone, never disturb them again.Somewhere between letting go and not moving on, we are torn. The person that you love most has the capability to hurt you alot.We walk away only to see if they care enough to stop us.Hard times are sometimes blessings in disguise.People think that they will be happy if they move to another place, and then it turns out: wherever you go, you take yourself.Happiness is like a kiss: to enjoy it, you need to share it with someone.Appreciate the people who come in those moments when it's not bad for them, but for you.***Don't shut your mouth to those who open your eyes. There's no point in trying to help people who don't help themselves. It is impossible to force a person to go up the stairs if he does not want to go up.Wrong-everyone. A mistake - worthy. Will ask forgiveness-the courageous. Resumes relations-a strong.Be brave if you want to make a difference. Be patient if something can't be changed. And be wise to know when courage is needed and when patience is needed.Don't ever regret what you did if you were really happy at that moment. An apology doesn't mean you're wrong, and the other person is right. It just means that the value of your relationship is more important than your own ego.People are divided into two halves. One, coming into the room, exclaiming: "Oh, I see!"; others: "here I am!"The most difficult thing in life - to understand what bridge to cross, and what-burn.Learn to be happy without fast foods, to dream without drugs/drinks, to communicate without the Internet. To find out where your heart lives, pay attention to where your mind wanders in moments of dreams. It is impossible to live without quarrels, in the same way as to go through all city only on green light. You have to be able to say no to people. They have a property to be impudent. The only person you have to compare yourself to is you in the past. And the only person you should be better than is who you are now.Never go back to a place where you felt bad. Never ask those who refused once. And don't let anyone else get close to you who once hurt you.In human nature there are three Golden qualities: patience, a sense of proportion and ability to remain silent. Sometimes in life they help more than the mind, talent and beauty.Never live with a man for money, children and pity. Money will be satiated, children will grow up, and pity will turn into contempt. The best revenge on a man is to prove that you can do without him.Good people will bring you happiness, bad people will reward you with experience, the worst-will give you a lesson, and the best - will give memories.Everything can be experienced in this life, as long as there is something to live for, who to love, who to care for and who to believe. The attraction of souls turns into friendship, the attraction of the mind turns into respect, the attraction of bodies turns into passion. And only all together can turn into love.If the loser smiles, the winner loses the taste of victory.***If you want to know a person, don't listen to what others say about him/her, you better listen to what s/he says about others. When God closes one door, he opens another; but we often do not notice it, staring at the closed door.***Don't put off your plans if it's raining outside, strong wind. Don't give up the dream if people don't believe in you. There are no unattainable goals - there is a high coefficient of laziness, lack of ingenuity and a reserve of excuses.Sex is just one way to Express your feelings. Love without sex leaves body cold, and sex without love soul empty.Alone - watch your thoughts, in the family - a manifestation of nature, among friends for their language.Sometimes it's useful to simulate a shipwreck so that rats can escape from it.If you are not loved, do not beg for love. If you do not believe - do not justify yourself. If you do not appreciate - do not prove.Never make excuses. Not to the one who loves you, not to the one who doesn't. He who does not love, still you would never believe, and who loves - he'll come up with an excuse for you.Never go back in time. It's killing your present. Memories are meaningless, they only take your precious time. The closest person to you is the one who knows your past, believes in your future, and now accepts you for who you are.The word of a loved one heals better than all the doctors in the world. And kills faster than all the executioners...One of the most useful life skills is the ability to quickly forget all the bad things: not to dwell on troubles, not to live offends, not to revel in irritation, not to conceal anger. Okay, not everything but majority of the times, they were.Somewhere between dreams and reality, we lived our lives. You can close your eyes to things you don't want to see but you can't close your heart to things you don't want to feel.We are all missing someone...and hoping that they miss us too.Someone asked me if I knew you. I smiled and said that I used to.You're not afraid of heights, you are just afraid of falling. We seem to focus on what we want and lose sight of what we really need. The wall she built around herself to keep the hurt out, imprisoned her all the same. You don't fear people more than you fear rejection. In his life full of regrets, she was his favorite. If my absence doesn't affect your life then my presence is void. You can give them another chance, or let them go and give yourself a better chance.People ruin others' happiness just because they can't find their own. Many people are together but not in love yet some people are in love yet not together. You're not afraid to love, you are just afraid of not being loved back.Somewhere between unspoken words and unexpressed feelings. You are not afraid of trying again but you fear failing.Somewhere between hello and goodbye we learned to live our life.Half of the world population is trying to lose weight and the other half is starving. All that you could do is lie in bed and fall asleep before you fall apart.Awareness regarding anything be it tobacco/pollution/child trafficking/etc is good as long as we do not have to put in any efforts in any way.Good Luck!

Would Eastern Europe be more politically stable if Republika Srpska joined Serbia and Kosovo joined Albania?

A2A, thanks DavidWould Eastern Europe be more politically stable if Republika Srpska joined Serbia and Kosovo joined Albania? If Republika Srpska joined Serbia, there would be one less problem in the Balkans. And once the Bosnian Croats territories would join Croatia, one less problem also, in the condition of redrawing Bosnia-Croatia borders so it is contiguous and both Bosnia and Serbia gets an access to the sea through 2 successive and wide enough corridors immediately south of Dubrovnik (the current border is ridiculously stupidly made, forcing Croatia to make a bridge above Bosnia’s corridor to rally the south of its territory. That incongruity tells how much ex-Yugoslav people are enslaved and can’t decide a simple thing about their own future... “Independences”, really ? Lmao. Babysitted infant pseudo States.About Kosovo, let’s be honest, either we await that the U.S.A are busy elsewhere to see a new Serbian crackdown over Kosovo i Metohija to again exercise its rightful claim of restoring their de facto sovereignty there, either Serbs and Albanians partition it fairly, leaving to the Albanians only the bulk of their massively populated lands here (after all, that was the sole “legitimate” part of their claim over Kosovo) while giving back to the Serbs all the balanced populated lands, Serb municipalities, little populated lands, natural resources sites in the north-West, North, North-east, Eastern corridor to Kosovo Polje & Obilich, and south up to the Goranci territory, and a diplomatic status over all Orthodox churches in Albanian Kosovo. Without inviting this guy to the party :Give back less than this to the Serbs, and wait… Even if it takes a century, the next time a strong enough Serbia has a strong nationalist Leader who’s able to sell his people a crusade, they’ll sound the trumpets and end up rolling full throttle to Prizren while playing some accordion. Ottomans and Albanians learned it the hard way : Serbs do not forget Kosovo. Ottomans are gone, Albanians are still around, and should not neglect to take in consideration History’s lessons, especially when it’s foreign countries who constantly decide of their borders, upscale or downscale. Better be sure than once the U.S are gone, there is no temptation for their neighbors to give them back a taste of their own medicine. As for an independent Kosovo, let’s stop this joke. There is no Kosovar/Kosovann nation. There is Kosovo Serbs and there is Kosovo Albanians, and that’s it. Like there is Serbs in Republika Srpska, which is a Serbian substrate before being a Bosnian one. Only Bosnian Muslims (Bosniaks) are the core of a nation in Bosnia now, and that’s quite recent. One nation, one state, not two nor half a State, that doesn’t make any sense aside for the P.R of avoiding to admit that Kosovo was snatched from Serbia to be gifted to Albania later on, and that Republika Srpska is naturally bound to join Serbia.Once these clusterfucks are solved, the Balkans can likely move ahead and decide for their future, either E.U integration for everyone, either a loose Balkan union to decide themselves for their future and not be anyone’s kitchen boys or untermenschen.Except that… Nor Washington neither Brussels want that to happen. After all, having 2 barrel of powders actionable at will in the Balkans are always a useful toy for the U.S to keep Europe in check. And Brussels seems to be happy that way, for its ruling elite is harmless and vassalized anyway. Yes, European institutions and NATO both secured peace in Western Europe after WW2, and prevented us to be swallowed by a too greedy Soviet Union. But almost 3 decades after the end of the Cold-War, NATO became a warmonger Empire led in Washington, and Brussels became a technocratic emanation of a “cosmocracy” that doesn’t truly give a fuck about European people or European civilization’s future as long as their wallets are puking euros, while big European sovereign countries are in the same fashion led by brainless crooks who are both members and vassals to said cosmocracy that holds money and self-serving class-based politics as their sole creed, without any civilizationnal or societal purpose otherwise related to the people they pretend to lead.So the Balkan People can wait a long time for being more than Kitchen boys or toys played by others, they are not Occidentals anyway, so they matter less. They are immature anyway, prompt to be babysitted and their rulers are on our payroll (even in Serbia probably), so it’s not like they will take upon themselves to settle their issues once and for all to then reconciliate and progress together. When some Balkan people tried to really build something through Yugoslavia, we catalyzed their internal striffes and destructive forces until it blew-up when the time was right, and then encouraged the disintegration through wars to be sure it would never stick again. It worked, right guys ?Ex-Yugoslav, you think that your downfall was fate, that we helped you to beat “redism” and “centralism”, that it was for “your political rights”, “justice”, “peace” ? You think it was all internal, that we Westerners didn’t do anything and then didn’t know what we were doing, that all moves were straightforward for the best, that we cared about the lost lives in ex-Yu ? Look how it went, and look at the result, then think again.Unlike the modern French, Germans have always been good chess players. Think about Bismark, think about the Nazis (thanks God Hitler ultimately added delusion to madness), Think about how Germany regained power through economics. No calculus nor rationale ? I don’t think so.Then look at the post WW2 history of the United States. You think they don’t calculate their move par advance, and are only assertive when you scratch beyond the surface ? Think again. Infografies are not clear ?So, in Yugoslavia, under these two countries leadership (and in the French case, despite ourselves -> Badinter Commission sham ruling), we encouraged, supported and afterward rewarded the centrifuge forces over the centripete ones (the Serbs), which we carpet bombed at multiple times. Our NATO countries encouraged you to slaughter yourselves by supporting always the weakest party to make war possible, then defecated our nuclear waste through depleted uranium ordinances in Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, destroyed by ourselves what you didn’t : factories, infrastructures, power-plants, bridges in central Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia, leading to long term pollution and alarming related pathologies, and all along built a propaganda along your own crooked leaders tales and deeds, on which you built then a part of your Historiography, while this propaganda is for us just dogshit to feed apathetic TV watchers eating their evening meal or resting their ass on a sofa, the horror and death-toll being a necessary part of the narrative to write this History that serves only the elites of all sides. This [1]:Was answered by that :Thousands died from each side in Srebrenica area, probably twice to three time more from the Bosniak side, yes. If massacre, that’s on both sides. If genocide, that’s also on both sides. People who were once neighbors, citizens of the same country. Did the Serbs, Bosniaks, or Croats gained anything out of this ? No. Austro-German banks and U.S State department did.Look at Libya. Ain’t the picture clear ?Look at Iraq ? Ain’t the picture clear ?Look at Syria ? Ain’t the picture clear ?They just never show you the before and after at the same time, with the name U.S of NATO in the middle. Who allowed ISIS to rise, out of destroying a State based on CIA lies ? You know what “war by proxy” means ? Doctrines evolve, proxies also. As long as the business keeps running and the oil keeps flowing, it’s ok, “untermenschen can die” in the name of the Stripped banner.Sweet Croats, Bosniaks, Albanians… Anything of this sounds familiar ? Many if not most of you lost much more than they gained out of this, and yet many if not most of you cheer for the U.S and E.U, wave flags and beg for entry, while you keep hating your neighbors and former partners in Statehood building, and bullying them through your new Masters strength. I get it for the Slovenes, they are not really Balkan people, more like Austrians and chose the right path for themselves. But the others ? Why Croats are leaving Croatia, despite this country being so beautiful ? Why no more babies ? And SAME for all the Balkans countries who now loose people year after year ? Here’s ex-Yu demographic curve.Need glasses ? :) Praises are in order, keep up the good job, Washington is not done using you, Germany is not done pillaging you, and Brussels is not done not really giving a fuck…Like User-13640306762992460247 (I like this guy, he’s quite hardcore but reading him, I know he got it. I don’t agree with him on his solutions, but he made the right constatations, in the right spirit) would say, “Slaves, after all ?” I hope the answer to that question is no.Surprise us, Balkans… You deserve better than the shit foreign Empires keep feeding you with for centuries already. It’s time to learn that once and for all and not fall endlessly in the same traps over and over again. Your leaders are corrupt pigs ? Unite your oppositions, go vote and get rid of them to replace them with people who really want to do something good, there is people like that in every countries. The pigs don’t want to go away ? Follow the Serbs example, may you like them or not :Nothing like a good ol’bulldozer to open Palaces gates. Despite his past “sidesteps”, Djindjic didn’t seem to be a bad guy, and got killed because he wanted some change (or because he was too close to the West?), but that’s another story. The example still stands.Unless your future is only a part of ours, and your desired path is to be a the back of our own convoy. Then it’s ok, don’t solve problems, keep hating your neighbors and following our orders and guidelines :Leave Republika Srpska in Bosnia until a spark transforms again Bosnia in a Pyre (Think it’s impossible ? Did it seem possible in 1984, when Sarajevo hosted the Winter Olympic games ?)Keep keeping / cleansing the Serbs away from Kosovo until they come back full throttle when the West looks elsewhere.Waste billions in a stupid bridge over Bosnian sea-corridor instead of redrawing a bit of borders and improving your children’s lives with the saved money.Beat yourselves up on the Piran Gulf or the Danube shores.Meanwhile look at your beautiful countries decaying from their youth exile while corrupt pigs on our payroll plunder your countries since 3 decades.Keep begging the E.U for more blessings.Love the Germans who are so civilized while they rob you.Let the Chinese build your lands instead of doing that yourself.Cheer in front of U.S flags or statues as porn actresses would cheer in front of Rocco’s Sword before another backdoor bloody rampage.Keep reelecting Milosevich’s boys, Tudjman’s disciples, Izetbegovich’s offsprings, UCK thugs, etc… Are they, after all, the democratic expression of their people aspiration, leading their countries to an enchanted road of independence, sovereignty, prosperity, vitality, ethics, democracy, etc, etc ?But beware, the “superior Westerner” psyche is as much American, English, or French than it is or was German, the way we call it is different from each of us (white supremacism, colonial spirit, Aryan race), but the feeling is the same in our high-up spheres. “These “Slavs-Arabic-Niggers-Paks-Chinks-Japs” and whatever, ugly considerations draped in condescending reverences, freedom, democracy, self-determination and political correctness, delivered in massive amounts from Sky fortresses over the blessed People, not well armed enough, that we bestow our help upon. Their governments should have bought our weapon-systems… Russia, please, disarm yourself… We have some blessings in store for you as well. Don’t you want a bit more of democracy ? Please Russia, let us teach you… We gave so much already, but our generosity is beyond limit, and we always have more to share with others :This, in the spirit of intercultural dialogue and celebration :And respect between different nations and ethnicities :Ask the Serbs, they loved how we brightened even their darkest nights.Their children loved it too !(No photo this time, I was gonna put some photos of these Serbian and Montenegrin children murdered by NATO fascists warmongers from their expensive bombers and I felt like to puke at myself)So Russia, see ? Nothing to be afraid of… Sign up for democracy !We would do that on ourselves also in case of peaks of violence or political troubles, I’m sure (downstairs U.S stats). Or maybe not, better do that abroad in fact… See, behind the scene it’s always the same shit than in imperial times, only the phrasing changed. “Do what we say, we know better” (even if it’s worst in our own home). There is 10 times more death by gunshot-crime in the U.S.A in a year than there was of any kind in the Kosovo war between 1995 and the 23rd march 1999. Can you imagine ? A moment in civilization… :) But we know better anyway, so we bombed the shit out of the Serbs once again. And got cheered at by their small and petty neighbors. Kumbaya ! Our Balkan victims look at the finger instead of looking at the moon anyway. And even if the Serbs are smarter than this, they are isolated, so… Why would we foster change there, everything is fine, really…And the scapegoats are the same, always… Lol… Like Empires don’t decide for themselves, when the very principle of an Imperial rule is to also decide for others. “Servia” served good indeed.Serbs wanted Serbia / Yugoslavia to be on equal footing with big European countries. How dared they ? The West need “Peoplić” in Western kitchens. I don’t, I do my cooking myself. That’s one of the reason I appreciate so much the Serbs and their attempt to remain united and sovereign despite everything, may it be against the whole Occident. Those are paramount traits of a Great People and a Great nation. And I wish that their problems end up soon, their people and lands back in Serbia asap, so the whole Western Balkans can finally be stable, and become then… dynamic by moving on pressing issues that are currently shadowed by endless and sterile nationalist rants that kept the same bullies / crooks reelected election after elections while the ex-Yugoslavia is bleeding its life, wealth, and very future.Footnotes[1] The Book of The Dead Serbs Of Srebrenica and Birac Region 1992-1995
