I’ll assume that by “academic paper” you mean a paper submitted to a research publication venue, such as a conference or a special issue of a journal.One of the first research papers I wrote for a major conference had a little problem: I submitted it something like a month before the published deadline — and they lost it! My advisor then gave me the little bit of wisdom that you never should submit earlier than about a week before the deadline and you usually can still have a paper accepted up to a week late. For many electrical and computer engineering venues, he was right. I’ve been involved in running a fair number of conferences, so here’s what I’ve seen really going on behind the scenes….In many cases, not a single paper is submitted until about a week before the deadline (nor are they expected, and disturbingly often submission software is not yet fully configured nor tested). It is not unusual for the vast majority to be submitted in the last day. However, it also is common that many potential authors will request a short extension of the deadline within the last few days — at a time when the organizers have not yet seen very many submissions. Thus, the organizers have a little dilemma: do they keep the deadline hard and risk having too few good papers submitted or do they soften and extend the deadline? Very often, the organizers will decide to push the deadline back by a week — but it wouldn’t be fair to do that for some people and not others. So, the web site suddenly gets a new due date posted.Things have been going on like this my entire academic life… so conference organizers have learned to expect it. There is also the realization that last-minute posting of a new deadline looks like a desperate and unprofessional move. The odd result is that many conferences will now list a deadline and state something like “an automatic extension of one week will be granted, but no submissions will be accepted beyond that date.” Strangely enough, this psychological trick seems to work pretty well: very few folks ask for additional extensions and there’s no embarrassing last-minute posting of a new conference deadline.Similarly, it used to be common that electronic submissions would state not just a deadline date, but a specific time — which inevitably brought questions about “in which time zone?” and then “but I’m in a different time zone, so that’s not fair.” Thus, you’ll often see phrases now like “in any time zone,” which basically means you can submit up until the time is past everywhere on earth. In truth, submission servers are rarely disabled at that precise time — partly because there may be submissions still being processed (servers get slow when everybody submits at the same time) and partly because people don’t immediately start reviewing submissions at the stroke of midnight. Thus, as long as the server is still accepting submissions and reviewing hasn’t yet begun, late submissions might or might not be considered.One more detail: the above is talking about submissions for review. Final copy submissions are a very different matter. Once a paper has been accepted, the deadline quoted for the final (minor revisions) copy being due is often absolutely firm, determined by things like how long it takes to get hardcopy proceedings printed so that they can be distributed at the conference. Deadlines for electronic-only (online) proceedings final copy are sometimes much more flexible, but it varies.So, knowing all the above, how bad is it if you miss the “real” deadline? Well, you will not get your work published in that venue, which is bad. However, there are always other venues — or next year’s conference. You will probably need to re-target/update your paper a bit for a different venue, but that’s usually nowhere near as hard as writing the paper in the first place. So, provided nobody else publishes a similar result while you’re waiting to publish in a later venue, it’s really not a very bad situation. In fact, it’s pretty much the same situation you’d be in if your paper was rejected by the reviewers — and top venues tend to reject most (commonly 2/3 or more) of the papers submitted.

Each target of submission will have specific requirements.Back in what-seems-like prehistoric times (before Print-On-Demand and widespread computer availability). The standard was 10 point pica monospaced left aligned with 1 - 1.25 inch margins. Chapter breaks 50% down the page.The above is no longer universal, although there are dinosaurs out there that still want it this way.ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS read the submission guidelines format as DIRECTED. NEVER assume they will make an exception for you. As I’ve said in other posts, guidelines are like an intelligence test. You not paying attention just starts the review process in a bad light… assuming they don’t just round file it immediately.Here is a sample guidelines from publisher Baen (one of the few still accepting unsolicited scripts) [Emphasis bold is mine to point out example requirements]:Send your manuscript by using the submission form at:http://www.baen.com/slush/index/submitNo disks unless requested.Attach the manuscript as a Rich Text Format (.rtf) file. Any other format will not be considered.Send the manuscript as a single file (do not break it into separate chapter files). The form only accepts a single file so any synopsis and contact info needs to be in the file with your manuscript.Your submission must include your name, email address*, postal mailing address, and telephone number on both your cover letter and the first page of the manuscript. *[If you have an alternate permanent email address, please include it, in case your primary account goes out of service.] Include a plot outline if possible.Spelling and grammar checkers are tools, nothing more. Do not trust them to proofread your manuscript for you.Minimal formatting, please. Do not format text boxes or sidebars into the manuscript; use block quotes. Indent paragraphs; center chapter headers and scene break indicators (###, ***, etc.); use page breaks only at the end of chapters. For emphasis, choose either underline or italics and use it consistently throughout. Try to avoid bold face, as it tends not to show up.Do not use "smart quotes"/curly quotes or single character ellipses, mdashes, etc. Use straight quotes and apostrophes, . . ., --, etc.Avoid non-standard fonts, and unnecessary changes in font face, size, etc. Publisher likes CG Omega and Lucida Bright. Typesetter likes any standard bookface, Times Roman or Courier. Make it readable, or we won't read it. If something needs special formatting e.g., small caps for a certain entity's dialog explain it in a cover letter.Include, if you like, your ideal cover treatment, including cover copy, a teaser page, and whatever else you would like. (But don't try to "sell" the story in a cover letter. It will stand or fall on its own merits.)NOTE: Any viruses attached to your submission will send your manuscript straight into the bit-bucket.Hardcopy Submissions: (for those who cannot submit electronically)Standard manuscript format only: double-spaced, one side of the page only, 1 1/2" margins on all four sides of the page. We will consider photocopies if they are dark and clear.Font must be readable, or we won't read it. This means seriphed or at least semi-seriphed, 12-point or greater. Publisher likes CG Omega and Lucida Bright. Typesetter likes any standard bookface, Times Roman or Courier.Title, author (last name only is okay), and page number at the top of each page are mandatory. Include your name, mailing address, and telephone number on the first page.All submissions should be accompanied by a stamped return envelope. Submissions from outside the U.S. should be accompanied by sufficient International Reply Coupons.So, notice, the old standard I quoted doesn’t apply at Baen.AGAIN, ALWAYS follow the submission guidelines of the entity you are submitting to. There is no exception… don’t get rejected because you weren’t paying attention.

(Quran 16:123)As per Quran the religion has always been one but people created divisions in it so Allah send Quran is the final revelation, helped establish a society of believers to show as an example of how this religion is to be followed and guarded the book so that there is no potential to create further divisions in the name of religion. Allah says in Quran:Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.
