PDF Editor FAQ

Which is the most humiliating thing that is happening to an army officer?

I have high regards for the army especially after having served for almost 36–38 years in the army as a commissioned officer as per the finest army traditions, I am now retired and as a proud veteran , I find that what our serving army top brasses have been doing to the retired veteran community is indeed most humiliating. We all know that this army top brass of the Service HQ will never recommend or provide any help or financial assistance to the retired veterans, and of late , on the contrary, this army top brass is hell bent on imposing tax on disability pension of persons who were disabled during war and war like conditions. The service HQ had taken the initiative towards this end by writing to Finance Ministry expressing their consent to impose income tax on war veterans who have superannuated from service with disabilities attributed/aggravated by military service .The honorable Raksha Manthri came to the rescue of disabled veterans and he instructed senior Govt officials to roll back the letter the CBDT had initiated on 20 Jun 2019 . He had also instructed the Integrated HQ of MOD (Army) to institute a comprehensive standing order and instructions on grant of disability pension for serving persons with an aim so that no undeserving persons can fake disabilities and find illegal ways to get disability pension on retirement. Now I find Integrated HQ of MOD came out with the proposal of tweaking the existing financial aspect of disability pension instead of cleaning their own system. What they should do is to make a fool proof system by which hence forth no undeserving persons should be granted disability pension. Instead of doing the same, the service HQ is giving recommendations to cut down the existing rate of disability element of pension and also to tax the service element of pension of disabled veterans. What a shame, the persons giving recommendations should understand that terms and conditions for grant of disability pension is equally applicable for all Central Govt employees and there are many apex court rulings in them and many veterans were granted disability pension only due to interference by the Honorable Apex court.

If I have official handicap tags on my car, do I have to show proof of my (condition) disability or move my car when asked by a very large retail store’s security? Is this even legal to ask?

1.) You are not required to PROVE you disabling condition to anybody, including the REAL police. It is, in fact, illegal for any person to demand proof of your disability (although it’s difficult to take action on that issue).2.) You are not required to move your car if it is legally designated as a vehicle used by a person with a disability and is legally parked. Tell the security officer to call the police, as the security officer has ZERO enforcement authority over FEDERALLY required parking spaces. The Americans with Disabilities Act dictates the parking regulations for those with disabilities, not the owners of a store or shopping mall. State laws mirror that regulation set down by ADA and the only authority for enforcement is law enforcement, not private security. The exception to that is if the vehicle is illegally parked in a disabled parking space, then the security officer can call their towing contractor and have the vehicle moved out of that space (to the tow yard), only AFTER calling the police to cite the violation.[NOTE - With all the below ongoing “debate” with an idiot cop (I used to be a cop so I know an idiot cop when I run into one), LET ME CLARIFY THE MAIN POINT OF ALL THIS.You DO NOT have to PROVE the DISABILITY CONDITION that you have to ANYONE, including the security guard, the police, or any member of the public. You MAY have to prove that the placard or license plate belongs to you and that it gives YOU the authorization to park where your vehicle is parked, or you may have to prove that the placard you’re using belongs to a person who is with you and you are using it on their behalf. If you’re using somebody else’s vehicle (with a disability license plate) or using somebody else’s placard (in the window on the rear view mirror), then you MAY be asked if it belongs to you and if you are legally authorized to park there. MAYBE. You do not have to PROVE WHAT THE NATURE OF YOUR DISABILITY IS.

Why do overweight people use mart carts in the store? I hate it because they are not disabled and obesity is not a disability.

What a sad commentary on yourself and your views. You are obviously bigoted in that a group of individuals are a target of yours. You don’t understand that outward appearance is not the only factor in determining disability. Many obese individuals have various complex medical conditions that may impede their ability to walk long distances. And third, you don’t understand that use of those carts does not require proof of disability, or even the existence of a disability.Motorized carts are a convenience. Just like handicap-accessible toilets, they are not restricted to use by disabled-only.

I've used Docusign before but it is expensive. CocoDoc was much less money and offered the same quality of service, plus offered a free service for occasional users. That really helped me as a non-profit with a tight budget.
