PDF Editor FAQ

What's a good film involving or about your state?

I spent the first twenty years of my life in Western New York (explaining to people that not all of New York is NYC). The next 35 years were in Central Florida. For a film that captures New York - the state, not the city - I would pick Nobody’s Fool, staring Paul Newman. The film takes place in the fictional town of North Bath. There is a real Bath, but the book the movie is based upon uses the author’s hometown of Ballston Spa as its inspiration. However, it could be any small town in upstate or western New York, including where I grew up in the towns of Albion and Brockport.Unlike the glamorous depictions of Manhattan life seen in so many movies, the small towns of New York have struggled for decades, part of the rust belt that has been in decline since the 1970s.Nobody’s Fool is a wonderful story of a man who outwardly seems like a nobody, but who actually is tied into so many people’s lives in his town.Paul Newman plays a character who could have been Cool Hand Luke, had he lived to his senior years. For Central Florida I would choose Ulee’s Gold, directed by Jonathan Demme and staring Peter Fonda.Ulee’s Gold shows an Orlando and Central Florida that tourists visiting the Magic Kingdom never see. Like Nobody’s Fool it depicts a less romantic side of a place we think we know.Ulee Jackson is a bee keeper in Wewahitchka, Florida. His son is in prison and his daughter-in-law is a drug addict in Orlando. A curmudgeonly loner, he nonetheless takes in his daughter-in-law and two grand daughters and must deal with his son’s criminal accomplishes, who want the money from the bank robbery that landed him in jail.Nobody sings zippy-doo-dah in this movie, but it is, ultimately, a touching family drama that shows real-life Central Florida in a way that a hundred trips to Disney World never could.

So, I may be relocating to the Schenectady/Albany area. I dont want to live within the full throws of these cities. What are some Suburban towns between these two cities to look at?

In the Schenectady area the towns of Glenville, Burnt Hills are nice, property tax in Glenville is a little high, Burnt Hills isnt too bad, further up Rte 50 is Ballston Lake and Ballston Spa.

Where can I get a cheap accommodations near Metro's Orange Line and close to Rosslyn in Washington DC.?

Assuming you need to be in Rosslyn for your business in town, I'd actually suggest you look the other way, westbound on the Orange Line. Consider apartments in Ballston or even further out in Merrifield or Vienna. Your odds of finding a less expensive place get better as you get further outside the District. If you're dead set on living in the District, you're probably going to pay more for the convenience.

Comments from Our Customers

Great product. Excellent for transfer of Whatsapp between iOS and Android. Customer service was also swift and helpful, even for my cancellation (was NOT because product was bad. Just won't be switching between Android and iOS in the foreseeable future)
