PDF Editor FAQ

Under what circumstances do doctors break confidentiality with their clients?

Safety is the primary consideration, as when they believe the patient is a danger to himself or others. Also, sometimes there are special laws requiring notification of authorities. For example, gun shot wounds must be reported. This is what the American Medical Association says on the subject:Safeguarding patient confidences also is subject to certain exceptions that are ethically and legally justified because of overriding social considerations. If there is a reasonable probability that a patient will inflict serious bodily harm on another person, for example, the physician should take precautions to protect the intended victim and notify law enforcement authorities. Communicable diseases and gunshot and knife wounds should be reported as required by applicable statutes or ordinances. Thus, the physician's duty of confidentiality at times must give way to a stronger countervailing societal interest. [1]On a personal note, though I'm not a doctor, I am required to maintain patient confidentiality under both federal law (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and state laws/regulations relating to my EMT certification. Even so, I have the same considerations as a doctor. If a patient tells me they're going to kill someone (besides me; I've been threatened by patients many times), you better believe I'm going to share that information.I've actually been considered a "mandated reporter" in several jobs, including as a childcare worker at an after school program, as a summer camp counselor, and now as an EMT. Of those three jobs, only the third was a professional certification requiring confidentiality, but if I ever have any reason to suspect child abuse or maltreatment, I'm required to report it. New York State has a long list of jobs considered mandated reporters: New York State Mandated Reporter Resource CenterOne final point. To become an EMT, I had to learn about the Ryan White Care Act, which allows EMS personnel to find out when they may have been exposed to life threatening diseases while providing care. I wouldn't consider that breaking confidentiality since they would've already been involved in the patient's care, but this information sharing would be after the fact and so may be worth mentioning.[1] Patient Confidentiality

Am I allowed/should I disclose peoples names to my therapist as I tell them about my week?

There’s nothing wrong with telling your therapist names. Even if it’s a company-hired therapist at work, the most they can do is be amused by work drama amongst themself. There’s special doctor-patient privilege in place to prevent your doctor from spreading personal information, whether it be about your personal health (sensitive information about STI’s and STD’s aren’t exactly things people want floating around) nor are they allowed to talk about your personal life. No matter how much someone asks, they’re by law not allowed to divulge information.Usually there’s a clause in this agreement, where the doctor in question can send information to other health-care facilities with your approval, or in the case of an emergency, can be sent without your approval. The same goes for if you tell them something in confidence; the news about Rachel’s fling with your best friend Ross can’t be shared, but if you’re showing all the red flags about suicide, then the doctor in question can admit you into an emergency care center to keep you from doing harm to yourself. If you talk about Phoebe’s mom showing flags of suicide, I believe the most they can do is just advise about what you can do to help, but therapists themselves are sometimes not allowed to intervene in someone’s personal life just because “my client x said so”. It’ll vary from state to state, and you’ll be able to verify that based on the confidentiality agreements you signed.

Where can one find list of all documents needed for a startup in India?

Well, that's quite a list. Here are some resources, in no particular order. And, of course, this isn't legal advice ... just providing links for some background reading. But they should get your research jump started:1. www.fluentgc.com (selfish endorsement, as this is my law firm).2. Orrick Start Up Forms Library [including incorporation documents, founder stock purchase documents, director and officer related documents, employee and contractor documents, technology related documents (including a standard NDA), and equity compensation documents]. Read the disclaimer associated with these documents very carefully. Legal counsel is certainly recommended before using the forms:http://www.orrick.com/practices/corporate/emergingCompanies/startup/forms_index.asp.3. Orrick Term Sheet Creator. Again, definitely consider legal counsel before using this term sheet creator:https://tsc.orrick.com/4. WhichDraft (a free online service for the creation of a number of documents, including consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, various software and supply agreements, etc.):http://www.whichdraft.com/5. San Jose Entrepreneur Center has various resources for entrepreneurs and their emerging companies:http://sanjoseecenter.org/6. Business Owner Space also has a number of resources for startups, including a business plan template:http://www.businessownerspace.com/7. Silicon Valley Academy of Startup Entrepreneurs -- more resources for entrepreneurs:http://www.svase.org/On collateral marketing materials, including websites, I don't have any specific recommendations. There are so many services available. With that said, I would be very careful who you hire as a "marketing expert / firm" -- there are very good companies out there, and very shady companies out there. Do some research on your competitors and see who they're using and then start interviewing potential companies to assist with branding. Find out who particular marketers have worked with in the past and then contact those clients to determine how satisfied they have been with the marketer's work.Well, I hope that provides at least a beginning point for your research. Just remember, again, it's inadvisable to use legal forms without the advice of legal counsel. Forms are just that -- forms. They're typically meant to be specially drafted to meet the particular needs of a transaction, particularly corporate and funding documents ...

Why Do Our Customer Select Us

the customer service has been great so far, but as for like Filmora in general, it has room for improvement. the whole reason i had to contact customer support to begin with was because the program prompted me to update to a version that wasn't actually up to date and had missing effects. fortunately this was an easy solve thanks to the customer support, so no big stress. aside from that, i really wish there was a way to streamline certain things, and i will speak specifically about automation lines. there are none. there should be. now i don't know how complicated automation lines would be to implement in a video editing software, but as someone who produces music in Ableton, i know that automation lines make life much better. let's say you want to take an effect, but want it to gradually fade in. the work around in Filmora is either copy pasting tiny consecutive instances of that effect and setting their numbers one at a time, which is time consuming and tedious. or save, delete everything except the section you want the effect, export that part, load it back into the main project, and use transition effects. but if there were automation lines, you wouldn't have to do any of that. i also think they need more effects that react to audio, there's very little on Filmstocks, but this would just be extra credit if anything. either way, Filmora is definitely worth having, i just hope it continues to get better over time.
