For me, it was Destin, Florida. I was expecting gorgeous beaches and other lovely nature. Instead, it’s a narrow sliver of beach with mile-high condo developments, shopping centers, and parking lots.

Walt Disney built Disneyland in California nearly two decades before the building of Walt Disney World. Unfortunately, when he built Disneyland in 1954–55, he lacked the foresight and funding to buy additional land around the theme park for other projects. It was one of Walt’s biggest regrets.So, when Walt decided to open a second resort, he thought big. He noted that only 5% of Disneyland’s visitors came from east of the Mississippi, where 75% of the United States population live. That was an enormous amount of untapped potential for visitors.He chose Orlando, Florida as a site for that second resort because there was a lot of land available for sale at a reasonable price (if the buyers didn’t know who the buyer was and what their land was wanted for, which is why Disney purchased it through dummy corporations).The land was also close to an airport and an Interstate highway that was under construction, so that visitors could easily travel to it. And unlike the states in central part of the United States, Florida was also a favorite travel destination for people living in the populous Northeastern states.Note that Walt’s main interest in the land was not for repeating himself by building another Disneyland. What excited him was building his Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow; the Magic Kingdom theme park was just the carrot to lure people into moving into his experiment in urban living. However, after Walt’s death, the people in charge of the Walt Disney Company decided that they didn’t want to be in the business of managing a city, so they turned Walt’s EPCOT idea into a second theme park in the Walt Disney World resort.

Sea level changes happen for a long list of reasons none of which appear in the stories you read about it.Manhattan for example sees the tide gage at the Battery Park show a continual steady sea level rise but in fact the sea isn’t rising there. The trend which appears steady since before Abraham Lincoln is in fact the product of the increased weight of buildings on the Island which like a glacier which weighs down the land.Another example is cities where we see groundwater withdrawals by wells like Jakarta Indonesia. The city of Jakarta is sinking because people are drawing down the water that holds the city up. This is worldwide stuff.The reality is that New Orleans is sinking because the Mississippi River is moving west and has been doing so for several thousand years. This is common to nearly every port city on earth because they are on river deltas.Look at the area east of the city of New Orleans and you see islands that show the old river delta boundaries where the land has sunk before the city was built. The river moved west. It is going further west now!Venice Italy is sinking because the big buildings are built on a river delta and they press the water out of the mud. This has been going on for over 500 years now. The islands show the delta boundy from ancient times. This is all natural stuff.Fluctuations up and down on an annual basis have a 1:1 correlation to solar cycles. This is stuff like the Ocean Oscillations typically labeled as Decadonal. This is stuff like El Nino and La Nina events.Now nothing particularly raises or lowers sea level. We know from Tectonics that the continents are floating. This means that the elevation of the continents are the result of magma movements under them. That is most definitely something that we as humans have no control of whatsoever. You want to see the results of this?See those pretty arcs across Alabama! It shows Alabama has been in and out of the ocean 8 times and more. Honestly the elevations of most of them are so high that nothing could be Glaciations. Such changes are so far beyond any human influence as to render it absurd to even imagine mankind has anything to do with sea level.These great lakes are assumed to have been pressed into the continent by Ice nearly 4 miles thick. It doesn’t matter how deep the ice was, the area was below sea level when these lakes formed pressed there by ice. The land is rising now recovering from that event. It is very important you understand that Sea Level is not under human control and the events which influence it are vastly greater than anything humans could ever hope to control.This is the big problem people have in understanding Climate Change. The claims that human beings are causing Climate Change and rising sea levels is just silly. The best example I can give you of this is the Maldives.In 1989 the UN (Now IPCC) Climate Change people predicted that by 2000 the sea level would drown the Maldives. They also predicted Tarawa Atoll would sink for the same sea level rise.This was in 1989! The islands which averaged 7 feet above Sea Level. This is the same Maldives after $10,000,000,000 investment by Saudi Arabia and building 3 airports to handle the tourism.It is not sinking. If any place on earth would sink due to sea level change it would sink.Here is a video entirely not about anything Climate Change. Watch as the old man in 2008 tells how the beach is wider than when he waded ashore under Japanese fire on Tarawa in 1943.The beach was wider that means no sea level rise 8 years after it was supposed to have sunk according to the UN Climate People!You do not need to imagine that sea levels are rising. In 1963 I went to the Gulfarium in Destin Florida. The facility was very nearly at sea level. It still is. In fact they have expanded their facilities. I am Eyewitness to the fact that the sea is not rising. This location is supposed to be sinking! It isn’t!If the sea level changes and sometimes it will, the causes will be vastly beyond any human control. Sometimes the land rises to as in all of the State of Florida is above the sea now because it rose. The Bahamas are out of the sea for the same reason. In fact 100% of all land above sea level is there due to forces way beyond any human control.I do not know how to get you to understand just how much beyond human control this is but the forces involved here are so profoundly massive that mankind doesn’t even have the slightest influence on them and has no hope of ever having such influence.
