I agree with the the New York Bar.Despite some pundits saying he was previously respected, Barr has a long history of being a partisan fixer, supporting anything the Republicans wanted to do.But now he has the position and the worsening judgement to be an even greater danger to the Republic than before. His impeachment is nearly as important as Trump’s.He has disabled law enforcement, to enable criminality against the general public. He is a menace and I am confident the founders would agree.

When my deaf/autistic son was in kindergarten I got a phone call from his teacher while I was at work. She was laughing and said she absolutely had to call me and tell me what happened immediately.My son was sitting beside another boy on the floor stacking blocks. Another boy came up and pushed my son. My son made no response and didn’t even look at him. The boy sitting beside him said, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” The bully pushed my son again, and again got no response. The seated boy again said, “I wouldn’t do that.” The bully then bent down and scattered my son’s blocks. My son calmly stood up, took one big swing, and punched the bully, sending him sprawling across the floor. My son immediately sat back down without a sound and started stacking blocks again as if nothing had happened. The seated boy turned to the bully and said, “See? I told you so.”The teacher on the phone said she and my son’s aide were laughing uncontrollably after witnessing this. Normally a child would get in trouble for punching another kid, but the simplicity and economy of motion were stunning. They said they had never seen anything like it.Edit: Thank for the astounding number if upvotes! In answer to a number of questions, this took place in Alaska in 1989. At that time I was assistant to the Governor in the civil rights office and well trained on disability law. My dad was also assistant superintendent of that school district. They tended to treat me as a colleague, not just a parent because of that. I became a director for the State Department of Education a few years later which probably changed the dynamics to be a bit intimidating for them.

Disability law? I am not sure how disability law impacts depositing a fake check. If you deposited a check you knew was fake, that is fraud. If you deposited a check you did not know was fake and had no reason to know was fake, then you probably didn’t break any laws. However, you would be financially responsible if you spent the money when the check cleared but before the money actually came through. The way a lot of scammers work is they know that people believe checks are good because they seem to clear so quickly. The reality is it can take months to know if a check is bad. If you spent the money while you thought the check was good, but it turns out to be bad, the bank will come after you for its money.
