Yes.Even though many in the physics arena will adamantly state that there is only one known way or mechanism to explain the two slit experiment, that of wave-particle duality, there is in fact, another mechanism, with very strong supporting evidence, for that other mechanism.This other mechanism is not only supported by prediction of that mechanism in another cosmic theory, but by devices that were developed according to that other mechanism, in fact at least three devices.This theory was begun to be developed when a device, that was required by the USA military, could not be developed by using the accepted theory, the one based on exactly the phenomena of wave-particle duality. Those using the accepted theory had tried since the 1960’s to develop the Free Electron Laser, for the USA military until 1986, with no success.Then, in 1986, Herman Haus, an electronics engineering professor, one of the best ever, at MIT was tasked with getting the FEL developed. Haus also could not use the existing theory, with the electron as a point that was everywhere at one time, to be used in a tractable way towards developing anything, including the FEL.So Haus dropped the model available and developed another model of the electron, by starting with the formulas of electronics as developed by Maxwell.The model accepted by establishment physics was the one based on the results of the 2 slit experiment, as understood and accepted to be the only way to explain the experiment, that of wave-particle duality.What Haus derived, from first principles, was an electron model where it was an extended in space or 3-D object. This model was sufficient to satisfy several of the then current objections found surrounding the accepted model. This was the difficult to conceptualize point geometry and instantaneous existence at all points in its orbit around an atom, and how the point electron could continue to exist in its orbit around the atom, without falling into the nucleus.By being modeled in a way as to satisfy all of the above and other criteria, the new model had the required properties or features to lend itself towards requirements of electronic engineering for developing devices such as the FEL. This model was used for developing the FEL into a fully functioning device in just two years of work; which work also included the development of the model of the electron that was used towards the FEL.The way that the electron was redone was then carried further to redo all known phenomena, including the 2 slit experiment.For the mechanism involved in his experiment, the particles involved, whether, photons or electrons, worked exactly the same, to produce the fringes in the far field.The mechanism is the following, taken as a quote from the full theory:“A gun (obeying classical physics) sprays bullets towards a target. Before they reach the target, they must pass through a screen with two slits. If bullets go through the slits they will most likely land directly behind the slit, but if they come in at a slight angle, they will land slightly to the sides. The resulting pattern is a map of the likelihood of a bullet landing at each point.The above two-slit pattern happens to be simply the sum of the patterns for each slit considered separately: if half the bullets were fired with only the left slit open and then half were fired with just the right slit open, the result would be the same.With waves, however, the result is very different, because of interference. Haus also could not use the existing theory, with the electron as a point that was everywhere at one time, to be used in a tractable way towards explaing anything, including the FEL.So Haus dropped the model available and developed another model of the electron, by starting with the formulas of electronics as developed by Maxwell.The model and from there the quantum mechanical explanation, currently accepted by establishment physics was the one based on the results of the Haus paper on the non-radiation condition, after Goedecke, thereby negating or refuting the waves used in explaining the 2 slit experiment, as understood and accepted under SQM, to be the only way to explain the experiment, that of wave-particle duality.Why waves should not have been attributed to the quantum scale is the following.Waves were first attributed to the quantum scale by physicists, such as Fresnel who, in the 1700’s were doing experimental work involving lenses, prisms, and edges, to describe how light behaves. He and his cohort agreed that waves are the way particles, at the quantum scale, are able to transport energy. What Fresnel did, in effect, is to take the phenomenon of waves as was observed at his time, to then use that phenomenon as an attribute ascribed by him and his cohort to how particles behave at the quantum scale. Since they were the first physicists to make this claim, they now have the permanent authority to do that. As in, first come, first served, and no one is allowed to tell an authority what, if anything, might be wrong with anything they claim. In the 1900’s it was found by analytical methods that, were not available in the 1700’s, that waves as observed in any kind of material, are all artifacts stemming from deeper mechanisms. In fluids, such as water, the waves are a surface portion that is continually breaking away from a horizontal rotating column of water. Therefore in actuality, there is nothing waving in water. What is happening is that vertical structure of water, when its particles meet the surface or interface between the water and air, breaks up that smoothly rotting column to have parts of it try to leap out of that smooth column into the less restrictive thinner air. That difference in stricture is the less viscous air allowing the water at the surface to continue to move in a straighter line as dictated by inertia of motion. This same action can be seen on a rapidly rotating tire, on a transport truck when a load is not attached to the truck. The totally open rear tires, when riding on very wet pavement, will display a thin column of water spraying vertically upward from the topmost portion of the tire, into the air above the tire. That is exactly what the rotating columns of water are doing when in a large body of water, such as a lake of ocean, meets the surface. The horizontal rotating water column, by feeling inertia and much less restriction at the interface between water and air, will tend to continue upwards normal to the surface of the water. That part of the column then, has water, by this time being less associated with the water column that, continues upward to also intrain more surface water into that main upward spray to form a thicker upward moving structure. That vertical structure tips over in the direction of the wind and seems to form a wave. This makes the phenomenon known as a wave on water, to be a much more complex set of mechanisms which has a structure that seems to be a wave, but only as observed by the unaided eye.In a musical instrument, such as a bell, the initial strike by the material of the striker, compresses the material of the bell at one point. From that point, a compression front spreads out in all directions but is more easily observed in the thinner rim where the material provides less resistance to the compression front and so allows the bell to have most of the effect to be concentrated at the rim. That is where the bell displays most of its altered shape, as a sinusoidal variation in the rim. The sinusoidal shape, by varying the bell’s shape mostly at the rim can then be taken to be the prime mechanism, based on such surface observations.A similar compression front is also at work in stringed instruments. The ends of the string, by being firmly anchored at both ends, makes the majority of the length of the string to be more of a very long, floppy kind of lever where the ends, by being firmly anchored, act as fulcrums. The anchored points, receive the motion of the string, to cause the material at the ends to be bent in excess of what its molecular structure is able to sustain. Therefore that small amount of material responds by a reaction that involving unbending with nearly equal force and a reverse action which consists of the ends reacting against the anchor point to send a part of that compression energy towards and into the main structure of the stringed instrument, the sounding box. That compressed fulcrum point is what is actually receiving and sending back the energy in the string, to then be the main mechanism at work in a stringed instrument. Where a wave is observed in a string that shape is produced as a secondary or artifact of that main mechanism that consists of a compression front.This indicates that waves as found at the macro scale, are always artifacts of the actual mechanisms by which energy is transported. Since waves are not the mechanism by which energy is transported at the macro scales, then waves cannot and should not be used to attribute to particles at the quantum scale as the mechanism that transports energy. That is how the first error, on the road of developing QM, was committed.This way of considering of how energy is transported, continues to be used as if a perfectly valid and accurate way for doing that. Why that particular precept of QM is kept is, because of the position that all authority figures in physics, have come to be held at, as if inviolable. Kings and heads of state, when found to be in gross of major error, have their position in the historical record to be more accurately described, to then have them removed from their former venerable position to the more fitting position of disdain.Why that is not allowed in physics, seems to be more about physics being considered as somehow separate from those who developed the theories used to describe it. Since physics is considered to be a very accurate way of describing the way things work in nature, is why those who do that describing are held at their lofty position at which they were at first held, even if and despite having been found to be in error at a later time. And anyways, errors in physics do not hurt any one on a personal level, in the same way that beheadings and other kinds of torture that were committed by political tyrants.Einstein had many times admitted to many blunders, but is still held in high esteem. The same kind of inviolable veneration is attributed to others in say literature, such as Shakespeare. This writer is known to have plagiarized much of his work from the efforts of others, such as Bacon. But that kind of misdeed, however does not hurt anyone, at least not to the same degree in physics and litersture when compared to the physical torture that was committed by heads of state. Or so it seems.The mental harm done by those very major errors in physics, has led to many career oriented people not finding any work to speak of. There is no work where there is no accurate theory to guide the development of useful items that could have been engineered if the theory used were accurate enough to be used for guiding such developments. Many in this category have ended up doing work that has nothing or at least next to nothing to do with physics. Actuarial work in Insurance firms is one very common way to get anything like similar or fitting work to be done where the statistical portion of physics can be applied in more general terms. The closer one gets to doing physics work, the more that that work tends to be more of the mentally dulling kind, as is done in front of a computer screen waiting for the odd number to show up on a graph or list of numbers that might or might not confirm a small detail about a formula that is being closely scrutinized by some high level prof to help confirm a small postulate that might or might not help support a small theoretical point.Without the wave being there, there is no need for the uncertainty principle to show how waves can be in one place or another based on statistical probabilities. The elimination of the uncertainty principle removes any basis for superposition of states whether that be in anything that is entangled or in q-its that depend on superposition of states. This model was sufficient to satisfy several of the then current objections found surrounding the accepted model. This was the difficult to conceptualize point geometry and instantaneous existence at all points in its orbit around an atom, and how the point electron could continue to exist in its orbit around the atom, without falling into the nucleus.By being modelled in a way as to satisfy all of the above and other criteria, the new model had the required properties or features to lend itself towards requirements of electronic engineering for developing devices such as the FEL.
