I applied to 23 schools. Yes, 23. I knew I wanted to go out of state, but, still applied to a few in state schools.Stats:SAT: 1110 (first time) 1220 (second time)ACT: 25 compositeGPA 3.9/4.04 AP’s Junior Year (AP Lang, AP Bio, AP Psych, AP Physics 1)1 AP Senior Year (AP Lit)Lots of honors classesI had to reduce my workload senior year because I was working a lot and had some personal issues going on.Intended major: Chemistry or Biochemistry at every schoolActivities:I had a good amount of work experience.Volunteer at a couple placesOfficer and member of best buddies chapterOfficer and member of the school’s ambassadors clubNHSFNHSSafeties:Chatham (Accepted with Honors and $16,000/yr; totally expected to get in, I visited and really liked it)Susquehanna (Accepted with $35,000 a year; very happy about how much they offered me, in the end this was my second choice)Coastal Carolina (Accepted with $6,162/yr)Gannon (Accepted with $17,000/yr; rejected from Honors Program)Eckerd (Accepted with $19,000/yr; loved the location, but, too far away in the end)Suffolk (Withdrew application; became uninterested and they seemed really disorganized with their admissions process)Matches:Duquesne (Accepted with $16,000/yr; I visited and really liked it)Elon (Accepted for spring admission; withdrew application because I wanted to start college in the fall, didn’t realize they even did spring admission admits)Drexel (Waitlisted; I was shocked because they were really interested in me, they were trying to get me to visit the Chemistry department and meet their head faculty, I guess they thought I’d go elsewhere but still really liked me)Loyola University Maryland (Accepted with $25,000/yr; really liked this school, it was my 3rd choice in the end)Ithaca (Accepted with Honors and $20,000/yr; I liked the school but the financial process was too complex for me)Pitt Main (Waitlisted; not surprised, they’re really stats oriented and mine were below average, on top of that, a lot of people from my school were admitted and I applied for a major that usually has high test scores)Purdue (Rejected; they rejected me really early, they didn’t even see my mid year grades yet, I guess they thought I wasn’t the right fit, but, I also applied for one of their most competitive majors, so I guess it shouldn’t be too surprising)UConn Storrs (Waitlisted; not too surprised, they’re getting more and more competitive each year)Reaches:Fordham (Waitlisted; surprised I even got waitlisted as I lost the deferral form to choose whether or not I wanted to be considered rd, I guess they really liked me, would have been way too expensive in the end anyway)Rensselaer (Waitlisted; shocked, I thought it would be a complete rejection as they’re test scores are so high and mine were a lot lower)George Washington (Rejected; thought I would have been Waitlisted, but they’re getting more and more competitive, so it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise)Northeastern ( Rejected; not really surprised, my test scores were way below the average)University of Rochester (Rejected; not surprised, they’re really hard to get into and I blew off my interview because of my anxiety (whoops))Stony Brook (Accepted with $6,500/yr; this is where I’ve decided to go, really excited, it’s a great school especially for what I’m going into, wish they would’ve offered me more money though)University of Richmond (Waitlisted; surprised, was expecting a rejection)Bucknell (Rejected; this was my first choice until I got rejected, thought I would’ve been Waitlisted because of Richmond, but, oh well)Tulane (Rejected; totally expected, really hard to get into)All in all, I’m really proud of my acceptances and waitlists, along with all the scholarships I got. I had a rough time junior year (personally), and didn’t think I’d be able to bounce back. I wish my test scores were higher, but, it is what it is. My admissions outcomes prove how unexpected and unpredictable the college admissions process is. I got rejected from schools I thought I’d get waitlisted, and waitlisted from schools I thought were easy acceptances or rejections. My advice is to apply to a variety of schools (if you have fee waivers like me or can afford it). You never know where you may or may not get into. It is not a good idea to write the fake letter of recommendation for graduate school for a friend. The main reason is that the institution is waiting for the letter of recommendation papers written and signed by the professors. If you need to get the recommendation letter for MBA you should find 3 or more recommenders who will write your papers. It is better to learn the requirements to know the exact number of letters. If you do not have the required amount of persons who can write something positive about you so do not even send your application to the MBA program.Most of the MBA programs are looking for the positive and attractive letter of recommendation that will describe you from the best side.
