I think India is at the beginning of the sex revolution right now.What is a sexual revolution?The sexual revolution, also known as a time of sexual liberation, was a social movement that challenged traditional codes of behavior related to sexuality in America in World-I and in the 1960s.Hugh Hefner founder of Playboy magazine was one of the people who brought sex revolution in America. Before that sex was of the most taboo subject to talk about. Just like now in India.(Circulation of playboy magazine is illegal in India)I am not saying India publishing such magazines but India needs a Sexual revolution.The sexual revolution will form a conviction that the erotic should be celebrated as a normal part of life and not repressed by family, religion and so-called ‘society’.We saw movies like ‘Badahai ho’ is challenging stereotypes and standards set by society.Ask yourself is there anything wrong if two older couple choose to have sex?One more movie which is releasing on Feb 1 is Ek ladki ko dekha to aasa laga.In Zero, katrina and Shah rukh character throw light on the non-traditional relationship.It is hard to accept that a girl can be taller than a guy. Always say “no”, but respectfully. They may try to use psychology on you such as saying “if you have nothing to hide, why do you not want us to search”. Don’t fall for such a trick. They may even say “we’re going to get a search warrant anyway, it would just save us all time if you said yes”. Don’t fall for that either. They may be bluffing. Even if they could get a search warrant, it takes a lot more of their time too and they may not be willing to go through the trouble.If they search your car or home anyway, even if you think they’re breaking the law, don’t start a physical fight and don’t lose your temper.A high school teacher (many years ago) explained why you should say “no”. There are at least 2 reasons:If you say “yes”, they can search for anything and everything. They can search any nook and cranny. If they have to get a search warrant, it will narrow the scope of what they’re looking for. For example, if they’re looking for a stolen shot gun and they find an tiny amount of drugs in your glove compartment, it may be inadmissible because they couldn’t have been looking for a shotgun in your glove compartment. That is assuming they had to get a search warrant. If you give permission, they can search your glove compartment, under your floor mats, inside your fuse box, etc., even if they told you they were looking for a stolen shot gun.You don’t know for sure what is in your car. If you bought it used, ever loaned it out, or even had passengers, it is possible that they put something in your car that is illegal. If you give permission to search, they may find something like that, and it is now your fault. I actually know someone who got arrested for this before.Bottom line, if you say “no”, even if they search anyway, there is a much better chance that whatever they find will be inadmissible. If they’re going to search anyway, make sure you have clearly not given consent. But there is no need to start a fight nor lose your temper if they search anyway.
